Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

Nintendo has announced a new “Play Together” sale kicking off in Europe tomorrow. Discounts on over 50 games are planned that have multiplayer functionality, including Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Captain Toad: Treasure, Go Vacation, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, and more. Titles will be on sale for as much as 50% off their regular eShop prices.

Solstice Chronicles: MIA

Circle Entertainment is bringing the sci-fi action shooter Solstice Chronicles: MIA to Switch tomorrow. Have a look at some gameplay in the video below.

Hamster has confirmed that it will have a new NeoGeo game ready to go on Switch this week. On February 7, Puzzle Bobble 2 will be available worldwide.

Nintendo has shared new data revealing the top top 30 most-downloaded Switch games in North America for January 2019. While Fortnite is still at the top, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe debuts right behind it. Wargroove even makes the list despite being a February release, which tells us that Nintendo probably calculated this data through February 3.

Apex Legends

Yesterday saw the reveal and launch of a new game from EA and Titanfall developer Respawn. The two companies have released Apex Legends, a free-to-play Battle Royale title. It’s not out on Switch at this time, but that doesn’t mean it’s completely off the table.

Speaking with Eurogamer, lead producer Drew McCoy said Respawn would love to bring Apex Legends to Switch as well as mobile. However, there’s “nothing [they] can currently talk about” for the time being. In other words, we’ll have to wait and see what happens in the future.
