Oscar Brittain and Akupara Games are teaming up to bring Desert Child to Switch, the two sides announced today. A release is planned for later in 2018.

Desert Child is a racing RPG that can be played either alone or through co-op. The game is set on a ruined Earth, with players needing to secure enough money to reach Mars. You’ll have to win races, customize your bike, and earn fans while also working jobs, cooking dinner, and payin rent.

According to a listing on the Japanese eShop, Adventures of Bertram Fiddle is planned for Switch. The point-and-click adventure game first debuted in 2015, and a second episode came out a few years later. Switch will be getting the first episode next week.

The latest Psikyo arcade classic from Zerodiv is due out on Switch very soon. Sol Divide is making its way to Japan next week, an eShop listing reveals.

Here’s a brief overview from the game’s Steam page:

Sol Divide delivers players with the action they are looking for and a story that places them right in the heat of the battle in this fantasy-based shooter. With 3 characters to choose from, players will battle their way through various levels in order to beat the evil Iftar who holds the magical sword Sol Divide. With a combination of magic and hand to hand combat, you will be able to defeat Iftar and recover the sacred Spirit Stone.

Sol Divide is slated for March 22 in Japan. English is supported, buy Zerodiv should be releasing it officially in the west soon as well.

It’s unclear if the Switch title Gal Metal will ever head west. Still, if you’re interested in seeing what the music / rhythm game has to offer, you can nab a free demo on the Japanese eShop.

Finding the demo won’t be entirely easy, since you need to type in Japanese characters to search for it. The easiest way is probably to just use the default search tab and continue going down the page until you see the thumbnail pictured above. Click on Gal Metal’s eShop listing, then select the second option underneath pricing (5,378 yen) to begin downloading the demo.

Listings on the Japanese eShop confirm two new classic releases from Hamster on Switch next week. ACA NeoGeo World Heroes 2 Jet and Moon Patrol will both be out on March 22.

Towards the end of 2017, Zen Studios said that a patch would be created to improve Pinball FX3’s performance on Switch. It was intended to have the game running at 60 frames per second in handheld mode will increasing docked resolution to 1080p.

The situation changed earlier this month when Zen Studios noted that plans had been abandoned for the Switch patch. It was decided after determining that the team would need to “recreate every table from the bits to achieve this quality.”

Decay of Logos

Today, Amplify Creations and Rising Star Games announced that Decay of Logos is coming to Switch. It’s due out digitally this fall.

Decay of Logos is a third-person fantasy action-RPG. You’ll explore a vast interconnected world filled with secret locations and items, take part in punishing combat, engage with the weapon, armor, inventory and level-up systems and mechanics, and more.

Stardew Valley developer ConcernedApe has long been working on a multiplayer update. On top of that, new content will be included as part of the upcoming patch.

On Twitter yesterday, ConcernedApe shared the latest on the update. First, multiplayer functionality “is in QA and bugs are being fixed at a very good pace”. And most important of all, players will now be able to place hats on horses.
