Tomba Special Edition gameplay

28 minutes of gameplay is available for the new Switch version of Tomba Special Edition. The 1997 platformer originally appeared on PlayStation, but now is on a Nintendo system for the first time.

Publisher Aniplex and developer Type-Moon have announced that they will be bringing Fate/EXTRA Record to Switch in 2025. The game is a remake of Fate/Extra, a dungeon-crawling RPG originally released on PSP. It was officially announced back in 2020, although this is the first confirmation we have had that it will be coming to Switch.

Darkest Dungeon II physical

Darkest Dungeon II recently came to Switch as a digital game, but now we have confirmation that a physical release is happening as well.

Skybound Games will be distributing the title at retail. You’ll actually be getting more than just the game here. Each unit includes a redemption code for the original soundtrack, stagecoach papercraft with assembly instructions, and sleeve packaging.

Epic Mickey pitch

Over the past few days, a pitch video has been making the rounds for an internal pitch made to Disney which would end up being Epic Mickey. Twitter / X account Epic Mickey Wiki circulated the news.

Thomas Heimann actually shared the clip towards the start of the year. Heimann says he “personally animated all the shots from the beginning to when Mickey goes down the hole, then everything after he starts to fly”. Animators Jessie Slate and Mike Boyce also worked on the piece.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Isekai Chronicles physical

Bandai Namco hasn’t said anything about a physical release of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Isekai Chronicles on Switch in Japan, but we do have some news on that front.

The title will receive a boxed release in both Japan and Asia. Also, in Japan, Bandai Namco will even be selling a limited edition. Copies include the game itself, bonus code for the sub-quest collection “Shopping” & “Memorial Statue”, original novel, picture drama Blu-ray, art book, and acrylic stand. Note that both the Japan and Asian versions comes with English support.

The Patrick Star Game

A new open world Patrick Star game is in development for Switch as well as other platforms, a now-removed retailer listing reveals.

Igabiba listed the new release this week – simply titled The Patrick Star Game – with a product description and the boxart. A few details are shared, including that Outright Games will be publishing. It also appears to be planned for October 4, 2024.

Epic Mickey Rebrushed collector's edition pre-order bonus release date

June 25: THQ Nordic has unveiled the release date, a collector’s edition, and pre-order bonus for Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. According to an eShop listing, the game launches on September 23, 2024.

The Epic Mickey: Rebrushed Collector’s Edition will include a number of goodies outside of the game. Buyers will be given a statue, vintage tin sign, collector’s steelbook, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit keychain, and postcards.

World of Goo 2 trailer

A final World of Goo 2 trailer has come in to promote today’s launch. After the original game launched during the WiiWare era, the sequel arrives all of these years later.

Super Rare Games, in partnership with tinyBuild and Hilltop Studios, today announced that it’s working on a physical version of Lil’ Guardsman.

Super Rare Games will be selling a total of 3,000 units. You’ll get a copy of the game, interior art, full-color manual, exclusive sticker, and a set of three trading cards.
