N64 and DS games are finally coming to the Wii U Virtual Console. This was just announced during today’s Nintendo Direct.

Nintendo has shared first details about amiibo Tap: Nintendo’s Greatest Hits, which are essentially demos that are tied into the figures. It will be out this spring as a free download.

Today is an interesting day. It’s April Fools’ Day! That means, unless you’re Nintendo, most announcements are going to be presumed fake.

Enter The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. A blog entry hit the game’s official site in the early morning hours, which seemed to announce it for both Wii U and 3DS. The thing is… most people (including myself) thought it to be fake given how the blog was written, and the fact that it’s April Fools’ Day.

But just a short while ago, there was this Twitter exchange between Nicalis’ Tyrone Rodriguez and Dan Adelman, formerly from Nintendo:

I suppose we can assume this is real for now. What a weird day. Really. In any case, if you’re interested in finding about how The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth made it to Nintendo’s platforms, we’ve posted the blog entry in full below.

Quite a few indie titles receive continued support after their initial release. That will be no different with psyscrolr, with developer Actos Games confirming that DLC is planned after launch. By doing so, Actos hopes to keep players interested with their title.

CEO Jonathan Meyer stated in an announcement yesterday:

“We feel the story of psyscrolr serves itself better updated over time. A more episodic feel invites players to want to come back to the world, continue their save, and find more. An example are the letters strewn throughout certain levels of the game. There are more secrets we plan to add in a further update, as well as hidden mini-games added to the game to enhance replayability with leaderboards and Miiverse features planned.”

psyscrolr is hitting the North American Wii U eShop this Thursday.

Indie developer This Guy Games has has announced SpaceBoy for several platforms, including Wii U.

SpaceBoy is the studio’s new action-adventure title that focuses on the exploration of a strange ship that lacks color and light. Players will be discovering new worlds with the ship’s Superior Operating Network (S.O.N.), which can be used “to help fight against corrupt software spreading throughout the ship’s large infrastructure.”

There will be plenty of power-ups, moves, and abilities to uncover in SpaceBoy. The game also features a wide array of characters and creatures.

We’ve attached a trailer for SpaceBoy below.
