Hideo Baba says there are still no plans for Tales on Wii U
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
Not much has changed when it comes to the Tales series on next-gen consoles. Producer Hideo Baba has once again said that there are no plans to bring the IP to the Wii U, the PlayStation 4, or Xbox One.
Baba said:
”Same as the Xbox One and PS4, I don’t have any plans to release titles for the Wii U.”
Baba and Namco Bandai as a whole are staying committed to the PlayStation 3. Tales of Symphonia Chronicles was just announced this past weekend and is planned for release in overseas territories early next year.

Ubisoft a bit nervous about next week’s Watch_Dogs showing at E3
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
Watch_Dogs is gearing up for a big showing next week. It will no doubt be one of the highlights at Ubisoft’s E3 2013 press conference.
The open-world game already made its debut at last year’s expo and has appeared at events since then, but that hasn’t stopped the team from being slightly apprehensive when it comes to Watch_Dogs’ next unveiling.
Senior producer Dominic Guay told MCV that the developers are still in the nervous mindset since the public’s reaction can’t be determined beforehand. The staffers at Ubisoft also “have many more aspects of Watch Dogs to present, many core features that have yet to be demonstrated.”
“Everyone in the team is aware of the rare opportunity we have with Watch Dogs and wants to make sure that we deliver on the game’s promises. As we are approaching the last months of our production, E3 is overlapping many other on-going priorities. Last year, we were nervous to show our creation to the world, which is a normal reaction to unveiling something that has been in the works for many years. You never know what the reaction will be. Well, I would say we are still in that mind-set. We have many more aspects of Watch Dogs to present, many core features that have yet to be demonstrated. We take nothing for granted and push as hard as we can.”
Looks like PES won’t be on any Nintendo platform this year
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Wii, Wii U | 0 comments
As far as we know, Konami has no games lined up for Nintendo platforms – at least in overseas territories.
PES 2014 seemed like the one sure-fire title destined for a Nintendo system, but that isn’t the case. Konami made the game official today, and even though last year’s edition launched on both the 3DS and Wii, the company’s latest soccer release doesn’t look to be coming to either platform. No Wii U version is planned, by the way.
Konami still hasn’t put out a single Wii U title, and system owners will be missing out on all soccer action – EA confirmed previously that it won’t be bringing FIFA 14 to the Wii U.
What might be even more surprising is that Konami appears to be ending PES support on the 3DS.

The Crew – more rumored details
Posted on 11 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in Rumors, Wii U | 0 comments
For those unaware, The Crew is a rumored next generation racing game coming from Ubisoft, with details having been leaked prior to its likely reveal at E3. Here’s what we know via an alleged playtester of the game:
– The Crew is expected to play similar to Ubisoft Reflections most recent racer Driver: San Francisco, with a semi-arcade style of racing.
– As with Driver: San Francisco, The Crew will be open world with the ability to travel between New York City and Los Angeles, though the scale of these cities has been reduced.
– It is not clear whether you will travel through wilderness to reach each city or whether the game will simply load in each area.
– The Crew will also feature a similar ‘Google Maps’ style mechanic, presumably for navigating the open world.
– A ‘Freeride’ mode will be available too, which the option to choose between missions or challenges.
– Multiplayer will feature 8 players in either competitive or co-operative gameplay, though no more specific details were provided.
– As is the case with Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs – and presumably many of the publisher’s next-gen games – The Crew will come with a companion app for mobile devices.
– It is presumed that The Crew’s release date will be before the end of 2013, presumably to tie into a next-gen release. With such a close release date, it’s safe to assume The Crew will be announced at E3 2013.
We’ll probably hear a lot more about this game at E3 in just 8 days.
Kuju Entertainment working on next-gen consoles

Kuju Entertainment has projects in the works for next-gen projects – so says a note made in a financial report from parent company Catalis SE.
The report mentions:
“Both studios of Kuju are actively developing games on one or more of the next gen consoles (PS4, Xbox one, Wii U) in addition to currently working up pitches for new concepts, specifically targeted to the latest consoles.”
One could probably say that Kuju’s main division is Headstrong Games, the team behind Art Academy, Battalion Wars, House of the Dead: Overkill, and more. Earlier this year, an unannounced Wii U title was spotted on a staffer’s LinkedIn profile.
Headstrong has a sister studio Zoe Mode. The company has produced the EyePet games, Crush3D, and others.
At this point, Kuju’s other major division is DoubleSix Games. You may recognize them as the developer behind South Park Let’s Go Tower Defense Play! and All Zombies Must Die!
