July 1: D3Publisher, along with Yukes, today unveiled Full Metal Schoolgirl for Nintendo Switch 2. A release is planned for October 23, 2025.
Full Metal Schoolgirl is an action shooting game. Playing as one of two heroines, you’ll look to fight back against the Meternal Jobz corporation.

Octopath Traveler 0 frame rate and resolution confirmed on Nintendo Switch 2, Switch

Square Enix has provided new technical details about Octopath Traveler 0, and we now have confirmation regarding frame rate and resolution for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch versions. This comes from the official Japanese website.
For frame rate, expect things to be at up to 60 FPS on Nintendo Switch 2. The action is up to 30 FPS on the original Nintendo Switch.

Square Enix shares TGS 2025 lineup

TGS 2025 is coming quick at the end of the month, and now Square Enix has unveiled its lineup for the show.
Most Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 games in the lineup will be available with hands on demos. The only titles for the platforms without demos will be Dragon Quest X Online, and Octopath Traveler 0.

Nintendo Classics Switch Online GBA app adds new functionality

The Nintendo Classics Switch Online app has now been updated, and new features have been added in. Note that you’ll need to download and install version 3.0.0.
The main addition is that button remapping is now supported. That means if you’re unhappy with the setup for a particular game, you can rearrange things to your heart’s content. Button mapping was added to the Nintendo Classics SNES app not too long ago as well.

Cronos: The New Dawn is almost here, and we now have a graphics comparison for the Nintendo Switch 2 and PS5 versions of the game.
It’s clear that certain changes were needed in order to get things up and running on Nintendo’s hardware. Both resolution and frame rate are lower on the system, which is to be expected. While it’s not 60 frames per second, an initial look seems to show that things are stable at 30 FPS on Nintendo Switch 2. Otherwise we also get a resolution of 1080p that’s upscaled.
007 First Light debut gameplay released, voice actors revealed, release date

IO Interactive just gave a lengthy first look at 007 First Light, its new James Bond game, and we also have confirmation about the voice actors and the release date. A half hour of footage was shown as part of a PlayStation State of Play broadcast.
This is actually the very first gameplay. IO shows off stealth, driving segments, shootouts, and more. For the voice cast, we know that Patrick Gibson is playing James Bond. Other confirmed actors include Lennie James as Greenway and Priyanga Burford as M, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, Kiera Lester as Moneypenny, and Noemie Nakai as Ms. Roth.
