SEGA has come out with the first trailer for Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S.
The game was quietly announced during a Nintendo Direct this month. For this release, one of the main additions it he Puyo Tetris Doubles mode.

Atlus has shared various details about Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, including frame rate and resolution.
Raidou Remastered will run at a full 60 frames per second on Nintendo Switch 2. In comparison, on Switch 1, it’s 30-FPS. Resolution for Raidou Remastered comes in at 1080p on Nintendo Switch 2. It’s mostly the same on the current console, but drops to native 720p in portable mode.

Following a delay, Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders are about to begin in the United States – and Canada. Reservations have been open elsewhere, but aside from a few select games, that’s not been the case stateside.
Major retailers are set to open Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders this week, April 24. Some listings will be going live as soon as the clock strikes midnight on the East Coast. Most of the big stores should have Nintendo Switch 2 available, but there’s likely a big exception. Nintendo and Amazon have seemingly been feuding again over the past year, so the console itself – and probably first-party titles – are unlikely to be up for pre-order there.

Sonic x Shadow Generations won’t let you upgrade from Nintendo Switch to Switch 2

With Sonic x Shadow Generations set to launch soon on Nintendo Switch 2, SEGA has confirmed that there is no upgrade planned for Switch 1 players.
That news comes directly from the official website. A note on one of the pages states: “The Nintendo Switch version cannot be upgraded to the Nintendo Switch 2 version.” This also applies to DLC, SEGA says.

April 2: SEGA is bringing Sonic x Shadow Generations to Nintendo Switch 2, the company has just announced. It will be available during the system’s launch window.
Sonic x Shadow Generations is already on the current Nintendo Switch having launched last year. According to SEGA, more information will be provided later.

Nintendo Switch 2 interest on Japanese store far exceeds expectations, president shares statement

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa shared a statement today about Japanese pre-orders on the My Nintendo Store in light of significant interest that exceeded the company’s expectations.
According to Furukawa, 2.2 million people registered interest in reserving the system through its official website. That number “far exceeds our expectations and far exceeds the number of Nintendo Switch 2 consoles that can be delivered from the My Nintendo Store on June 5,” Furukawa said. Many customers won’t be selected, but will be automatically enrolled for a second lottery later on.

April 9: A key detail about Switch 2’s GameCube controller is seemingly confirmed. As it turns out, the device will apparently be compatible with just the upcoming Nintendo Classics app.
That information is included in Nintendo’s official video announcing GameCube games on Nintendo Switch 2. Since it’s only shown in the fine print of the UK upload (it’s not in the North American version), you may have missed it last week – in fact, it seems most people did.
