The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending September 27, 2025 is now available.
There are a few new games this week, including Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds which debuts at #4 with 30 percent of the game’s sales on Nintendo Switch (55 percent for PS4, 11 percent for Xbox Series, 4 percent for PS4). Another new title is Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac at #14 – the split was 44 percent for Nintendo Switch, 48 percent for PS5, and 8 percent for Xbox Series. Meanwhile, the actual #1 was EA Sports FC 26 – we saw 7 percent of the sales were on Nintendo Switch, 67 percent on PS5, 14 percent on Xbox Series, and 8 percent on PS4.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet announce Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant Tera Raid Battle event

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet players can look forward to the next Tera Raid Battle event, which features Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant.
Both will be appearing in 7 Star Raids. If you have Pokemon Scarlet, you’ll battle against Roaring Moon with the Dragon Tera Type. For Pokemon Violet, it’s Iron Valiant with the Fairy Tera Type. The creatures have the Mightiest Mark and catch be caught just once per save file.

By complete coincidence, 2025 is the year of racing games – we’ve got Mario Kart World, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, and Kirby Air Riders yet to come. This means that in terms of online discourse, you’ll almost always see at least two of these games compared to each other. In the past, Sonic has starred in several high-quality racing games – Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed was fairly popular back in its day, and some would even say it rivaled your typical Mario Kart title. Continuing that trend, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds absolutely stands its ground in the kart racer scene – but as you might expect, there are some compromises on the Nintendo Switch version.

Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition upgrade for Nintendo Switch players unavailable because of “technical constraints”

If you own Little Nightmares on Nintendo Switch, you won’t be able to upgrade to the new Enhanced Edition on Switch 2 – so you have to buy the game again. Bandai Namco has now commented on the decision.
In an FAQ, the company said that “technical constraints” prevented the upgrade. This goes against what’s happening on other platforms. For example, those who own the original 2017 version on PS4 will be able to upgrade to the PS5 Enhanced Edition for free.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment receives first gameplay

July 31: During today’s Nintendo Direct, Square Enix unveiled Octopath Traveler 0. It will be available on December 4, 2025.
This is the third main entry in the Octopath Traveler series. We previously saw Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler 2, though the franchise hadn’t appeared on Nintendo Switch 2 – until now.
Here’s what’s been shared thus far about the new title:
Start from zero in a personal quest of restoration and retribution! In this prequel to the first OCTOPATH TRAVELER, journey to stop powerful villains using fast-paced, turn-based combat. For the first time in the series, play through the eyes of your own custom protagonist and rebuild your hometown. With over 30 recruitable party members, an engaging story, and all-new features and returning core elements like the iconic HD-2D graphics and the Break & Boost battle system, players embark on a journey of their own creation when OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0 arrives for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on Dec. 4.
