Another Nintendo Switch 2 comparison video has dropped, this time showing that version of Fortnite compared to Switch 1.
If you’ve played any of the battle royale title on the previous system, you should notice a substantial upgrade here. Epic already spoke about many of the improvements this week, but today’s video puts things in perspective.

Summer Game Fest 2025 live stream

E3 isn’t around anymore, but Summer Game Fest is looking to fill the void of summer game announcements with its own big event, and the 2025 live stream is almost here. The fun starts at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM in the UK / 11 PM in Europe.
Today’s event will run about two hours long. Various new announcements are planned, and we should be getting at least some news for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. Right after that presentation ends, Day of the Devs will begin immediately after with even more announcements, which will be focused on indies.

March 27: Today, Spike Chunsoft revealed No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files for Nintendo Switch [update: also now Switch 2]. It launches on July 25, 2025.
No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files is the third game in the series. This time around, you’ll play as a special agent with an AI partner embedded in his left eye while looking to track down Iris, an internet Idol who has been trapped in a mysterious escape game.

A new video comparison has come in for Animal Crossing: New Horizons showing how the game has improved on Nintendo Switch 2 compared to the original Switch.
Nintendo released a handful of improvement updates this past week for various games, but Animal Crossing: New Horizons wasn’t one of them. Still, the new system alone is able to run it better thanks to the more powerful hardware.

March 27: Today, Bandai Namco unveiled Tamagotchi Plaza for Nintendo Switch. The game is due out on August 27, 2025.
Based on the 90’s pocket companions, Tamagotchi Plaza is a shop simulator games. The action is set in Tamahiko Town where players will manage a dozen different shops and engage with over 100 Tamagotchi.

May 28: The Pokemon Company just came through with a release date for Pokemon Legends: Z-A. On both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, the game launches on October 16, 2025. A new piece of key art was shared today, which we have above.
Those who purchase Pokemon Legends: Z-A on Nintendo Switch will be able to obtain the Switch 2 improvements with an upgrade pack. This applies to both the physical and digital versions. On Nintendo Switch 2, Pokemon Legends: Z-A features improved graphics and a better frame rate.

To celebrate the launch of Nintendo Switch 2, the 7 Star Porygon2 Tera Raid Battle event for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is live now. It’s fairly easy as far as 7-Star Raids go, but we’ve written a guide with potential checks and counters regardless. The event runs from now until June 16 alongside Porygon2 outbreaks with a boosted Shiny chance. This Porygon2 is Tera Normal, which only leaves it weak to Fighting-type attacks.
