With the official announcement of Pokemon Tretta Lab for 3DS, new details about the game has surfaced.

We’ve learned that the actual package isn’t a true retail game. While it is sold in stores and comes with the scanner, the title itself is only available through the eShop.

Here’s everything we know thus far:

– Main game is called Pokémon Tretta Lab Main System
– Comes packaged with an eShop download code
– 3 modes
– First mode: Tretta Analyzer
– Tretta Analyzer shows you the Pokémon from the Tretta puck scanned in, its type and stats.
– Second mode: Type Checker
– Type Checker lets you compare two Pokemon and see if the type combination matches up
– Third mode: Auto Battle
– Auto Battle lets you scan in two Tretta pucks and automatically shows them or battle, or you can go through several scenarios
– Digital download game distributed via a code is shipped with the scanner, a base for 3DS and 3DS XL, and three Pokémon Tretta pucks: Eevee, Mewtwo & Lucario with a Pichu puck as a pre-order bonus

Super Icon’s Life of Pixel could make its way to the Wii U. If £30,000 is raised through Kickstarter, we’ll be seeing the platformer on the eShop.

Admittedly, it could prove challenging to reach the stretch goal, let alone the overall total. £10,000 is requested to make Life of Pixel happen, but only £116 has been raised thus far.

You can find more information about Life of Pixel on the official Kickstarter page here.

Don’t Starve is the latest game from Klei Entertainment, the same studio behind Mark of the Ninja. While the title is only available for the PC at present, it sounds like Klei has quite a bit of interest in bringing it to handhelds as well.

One fan recently asked Klei founder Jamie Cheng on Twitter about the possibility of releasing Don’t Starve on the Vita/3DS.

Cheng wrote in response:

It isn’t entirely clear if Cheng was specifically referring to the PlayStation Vita, 3DS, or both. In any case, we may be seeing Don’t Starve on a portable system in the future if Klei pursues its interest.

After hitting Europe earlier today, Toki Tori 2’s first patch is now available in North America. Patch notes can be found here.

This is just the start of Two Tribes’ future support for Toki Tori 2. More updates are planned for the future. You can let Two Tribes know what you’d like to see changed/added by giving feedback through Miiverse.

Super Metroid was one of the four digital rewards added to Club Nintendo in April. As many of you know, the title will be included in the Wii U Virtual Console Trial campaign next week, meaning it will be available for just 30 cents for a full month.

Those who ordered Super Metroid from Club Nintendo and are now receiving a full refund – yes, the complete 150 coins. You should be getting the full amount back as long as you’re a Wii U owner. Amazingly, these Club Nintendo users can still keep the download code for use on the Wii U or Wii.

A very generous move on Nintendo’s part!
