There is some concern that SEGA could be delaying Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

The console version was scheduled for mid November in North America. Now, just like the handheld editions, Amazon is listing Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U games for December 11. Consumers are also receiving emails from the retailer that Sonic’s new racer is expected to ship in December rather than November.

I imagine there are two main possibilities here: either Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed really will be delayed, or Amazon has no idea what it’s talking about.

First there was the Pikachu 3DS XL. Now there’s a Charizard 3DS XL!

The special handheld pictured above will be distributed only to those who are lucky enough to be picked through a lottery, which will be held between November 3 and November 26. If chosen, consumers will be able to purchase the system for 18,900 yen between December 15 and January 14.

You may remember that Shigeru Miyamoto was chosen as Spain’s recipient of the Prince of Asturias Award. Following the announcement several months ago, Miyamoto has finally arrived in the country and will be accepting tomorrow.

Some of Miyamoto’s first moments prior to tomorrow’s event were captured on film. The video above is more amusing that you would think. Miyamoto dances around to some music a bit, takes part in a few photo ops, and signs some autographs.

Nintendo won’t say how much stock will be prepared for the UK launch of Wii U. That being said, the company did tell CVG that “stock levels will be tight on day one.’

The company said in a statement:

“Wii U stock levels will be tight on day one. However we will be providing retailers with regular stock deliveries in the run up to Christmas in order to meet demand as quickly as possible.”

Earlier today, CVG reported that Wii U stock could be as low as 25,000 units. A separate source, however, indicated that the figure could be between 75,000 and 100,000 consoles.
