There’s still no news on the Monster Hunter Tri G localization front. Capcom continues to say that there are no plans to bring the game to the US, but it would be possible.

Here’s the latest, as tweeted by analyst Daniel Gibson at Macquarie Capital Securities (Japan) Limited:

“MH 3G in USA – any time I ask Capcom, its the same answer…no plans but possible, would think now with MH 4 coming ‘spring 2013’ it helps”

I’m not even sure when Capcom could announce Monster Hunter Tri G for the US. If I’m remembering correctly, the original Wii game was confirmed for North America just a couple of days after launching in Japan. It ended up shipping a few months later. As we know, the same situation didn’t occur with Tri G.

Thanks to CdS for the tip.

Konami will release Frogger: Hyper Arcade Edition on the major digital services next week. The news comes from the latest episode of the PlayStation Blogcast, which confirms a July 10 launch on PSN. It’ll apparently be available on XBLA and WiiWare on the same day as well.

More E.X. Troopers shots

There are two sets of images here, both of which show new sections from E.X. Troopers. The second set indicates that the footage shown at Capcom Summer Jam a few days ago was taken from the PlayStation 3 version of the game. We expect the 3DS edition to look very similar.

Thanks to Tim R for the tip.

This is something that Nintendo has hinted at previously, and most had assumed that something like this would be implemented.

Anyway, the point here is that a customer service representative has “confirmed” (can a rep actually confirm things?) that the Wii U and 3DS will share the same account system through the eShop. The compatibility wasn’t given an exact date for the 3DS, but unified accounts will be ready out of the box for Wii U.

A few other tidbits were shared by the same representative. As many of you know, Nintendo can keep your eShop account in tact if it’s damaged. It can also be transferred in the event that the system is stolen. Finally, there is “nothing to announce regarding Latin American availability” for digital downloads on the eShop.

The representative’s comments in full:

Each copy of Kirby’s Dream Collection Special Edition will contain a soundtrack. A total of 45 songs will be included, representing 16 different entries in the Kirby franchise. Additionally, there will be three brand new pieces recorded just for the soundtrack.

Fans can expect music from the following Kirby games:

Kirby’s Dream Land
Kirby’s Adventure
Kirby’s Dream Land 2
Kirby’s Dream Course
Kirby Super Star
Kirby’s Dream Land 3
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
Kirby’s Nightmare in Dream Land
Kirby’s Air Ride
Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
Kirby’s Canvas Curse
Kirby: Squeak Squad
Kirby Super Star Ultra
Kirby’s Epic Yarn
Kirby Mass Attack
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land

Kirby’s Dream Collection Special Edition ships on September 16 in North America.
