Cave Story 3D came out in North America last year, but it hasn’t been released in Japan yet. Maybe it’s worth the wait.
For the Japanese release, new playable characters have been added in. Falcom’s Dragon Slayer, the lead character from Crazy Climber, and one of the famers from Sunsoft’s Famicom game Ikki are included.
A few screenshots of the characters can be found above.
You can get yet another look at the 3DS XL in the video above. It also shows some games in action – Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7.
I think this Nintendo Download sets the record for most games available in a single week. There’s really a lot to be interested here between the Heroes of Ruin demo, Sakura Samurai discount, and and classic games on the eShop and Wii Shop Channel.
This week’s Nintendo Download includes the following featured content:
Nintendo eShop
The Legend of Zelda™ – Celebrate the Nintendo eShop “8-bit Summer” series with this smash-hit adventure, originally released on the NES™ console in 1987. Help Link™ restore the Triforce, rescue the princess and thwart Ganon’s evil plans. (For Nintendo 3DS™)
NES Open Tournament Golf™ – This classic NES game from 1991 – now available for Nintendo 3DS as part of the Nintendo eShop “8-bit Summer” series – lets you challenge another player in Stroke, Match and Tournament modes. (For Nintendo 3DS)
New findings indicate that Tantalus Media has commenced development on a Wii U port of an unannounced AAA title. The discovery comes from the LinkedIn profile of Graeme Webb, a programmer for the company.
It seems as though the project just started development last month. Something that could be related are job openings on Tantalus’ website, which also opened up in June. They relate to “an exciting Next-Gen AAA title”.
Thanks to Emily Rogers for the tip.
