Ubisoft made the surprising announcement at this year’s E3 that Killer Freaks from Out Space had been transformed into the more realistic survival shooter, ZombiU.
Although the move was unexpected, it was well-received. ZombiU was considered by many to be one of the best Wii U games at the expo.
But what prompted the change?
Ubisoft senior vice president of sales and marketing Tony Key explained:
Unchained Blades was scheduled to arrive digitally on the 3DS and PSP this summer, but thus far only the PSP version has been given a final release date. XSEED said on Twitter today that the game will hit Sony’s handheld next Tuesday with the 3DS version coming “later in 2012”.
We’re not exactly sure what this means for the eShop release. Maybe Nintendo hasn’t told XSEED when they’ll put the game on the store. Maybe XSEED is still working on the 3DS version. For now, it’s unknown if the eShop edition will still be available this summer. The only tidbit we have is that it’ll likely cost around $29.99, as this is the price for the PSN version.
Nothing too exciting here… Reggie was only about to answer two fan questions from Twitter. It was amusing seeing him nearly butcher Xenoblade Chronicle’s name, though! Don’t worry, Reggie – you still rock.

I’m using the same names listed in Nintendo Power because the selections were chosen before E3 2012. Some of the titles have changed since then. I’m sure we’ll see the overall rankings change a bit next month.
Although Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns came out in North America late last year, European fans have been waiting for the game since then. Publisher Rising Star Games has now nailed down a final release date.
Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns will be arriving in European territories on June 29. It’ll launch on both the 3DS and DS.
