There are a bunch of LEGO video games on the way. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes and LEGO City Stories have already been announced, and now a third title is on the way.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has officially confirmed LEGO The Lord of the Rings today. It doesn’t have a release date, but it will be launching on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, 3DS, DS, and Vita this fall.

You can find the official announcement below.

June 1, 2012, Today Nintendo announces a unique cultural partnership and short film-making competition with the BFI (British Film Institute).

Under this exciting new partnership the BFI and Nintendo are launching a short film-making competition using the 3D video recorder built in to the Nintendo 3DS. Entrants are encouraged to use the innovative technology of the Nintendo 3DS to create short films that capture the imagination and showcase the still-evolving art of 3D videography, one of the major innovations to the entertainment industry of the last decade. The winner will have the opportunity to have their work shown to some of the most prominent people in the film industry at the Nintendo Gala screening at the 56th BFI London Film Festival In Partnership With American Express in October 2012.

In addition to this ground-breaking competition and as part of their wider cultural partnership Nintendo and the BFI are working together on a number of exciting new 3D content projects, details of which will be revealed in due course.

The image above comes from the debut trailer of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. As you can see, there’s no Wii U logo up there.

We still don’t know for sure if Lords of Shadow 2 is in the works for Nintendo’s new console, but it’s in doubt now. Either Konami was asked to keep a Wii U version a secret until the Big N’s conference, or it’s simply not planned for the system. I’m sure all will be made clear in a few days.

Looks like Konami has plans to fully blow this game out during Nintendo’s E3 2012 media briefing. We’ll be getting a full trailer then, hopefully with gameplay.

Note 2: The latest episode of GameTrailers TV is about to air. No idea if any of the content will be Nintendo-related, but we’ll see. Konami’s pre-E3 show is in a half hour.

Note: Keeping this toward the top of the page for now. We’ll update this post with streaming information as we come closer to the event. It’s starting in roughly an hour and fifteen minutes.

The E3 2012 madness officially begins tonight with Konami’s own “show”. GameTrailers TV will air segments of the broadcast on its latest episode tonight at 1:00 AM EDT (the timing stinks, but oh well!), along with a few other E3 trailers and announcements. Following this, Konami’s entire pre-E3 show will be live-streamed at 1:30 AM EDT / 10:30 PM PDT.

It sounds like you’ll be able to see the event here. If not, I’m sure it’ll be available on GameTrailers.com.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate will likely be featured. We’re also hoping that Lords of Shadows 2 will be officially announced and confirmed for Wii U… please.

We’ll have all of the news, trailers, and other media from Konami’s pre-E3 show on Nintendo Everything and Gaming Everything, so be on the lookout for updates.

E3 2012 is slowly coming together. Booths are being constructed and walls and game imagery is starting to cover the convention halls.

For one of the first looks at the convention center – in and around E3 – check out the gallery above. You can find more photos here.
