Pinball Pulse: The Ancient Beckons was one of the few DSiWare titles that couldn’t be transferred to the 3DS. That’s now possible, and the game itself can be downloaded from the eShop. There’s no explanation as to why Pinball Pulse has suddenly appeared on the store, but hey, we’ll take any good news we can get.
Like Nintendo’s Jump Festa 2012 lineup, the company is only bringing a couple of titles to the World Hobby Fair ’12 Winter show. Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land will both be playable. I wonder why they’re leaving Skyward Sword out…
San Jose Mercury News has a new interview up with Shigeru Miyamoto. Although it’s short, it’s filled with a bunch of interesting information.
Miyamoto discusses how Nintendo is constantly looking to appeal to both the hardcore and casual gamer for Zelda titles, using 3D without distracting players, how he hasn’t been able to find mobile title that he’s enjoyed, and more.
Head past the break for all of Miyamoto’s statements.

Alvion has updated their website with a notice that the studio is looking to hire new staff and that they’ll be working with new platforms next year. It seems that Alvion will be experimenting with the Wii U as well as the 3DS in 2012.
Alvion is perhaps best known for their work on Malicious, which launched for the PlayStation 3 in Japan last year. The company has only published one game for a Nintendo platform. In 2009, Alvion released Poupée Girl for DS.
Japanese 3DS users who have downloaded the Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D demo from the eShop can enter a drawing to win a calender. 100 participants will be given the prize. After downloading the demo, simply fill out a survey to enter.
Demo users can fill out the survey now. Konami will end the competition on January 23. Rewards will ship out late next month.
