The fate of a possible North American Xenoblade Chronicles localization lies in the hands of European consumers. Earlier today, Reggie Fils-Aime said that Nintendo of America will be monitoring the game once it hits the region later this month.

It’ll be a few weeks before we know how it sells in Europe (it’ll be most important to see how it does in the long run), but at least Nintendo UK believes it can succeed. Marketing assistant Vanisha Kavia recently said that although it’s “a nice franchise”, fans have shown “high interest” in the title.

“Xenoblade is a niche franchise in the UK and will appeal to RPG and JRPG fans, especially those who enjoyed Monster Hunter Tri on Wii. There is a lot of high interest from fans on this title as it is a European exclusive.”

Earlier today, we reported (via MTV Multiplayer) that Super Mario 3D Land seemed to be on track for November 13 and Mario Kart 7 would launch on December 4. Based on a statement provided to Nintendo Everything, it appears that those dates were a mistake.

While those dates are possible (there’s only four possible Sundays the titles could arrive on in both months), they’re not confirmed at this time. Nintendo’s statement reads that the company “has not announced the specific launch dates for the upcoming Mario games for Nintendo 3DS”.

We’ll be sure to keep you informed when official release dates for these titles are announced.
