Nintendo has stated that improving online for the 3DS is a top priority. That includes the length of Friend Codes, it seems. Players will only need to input twelve digits to add friends to their system. This is a slight improvement over the Wii, which features sixteen digits codes for the Address Book.
Game Memo
– Write notes on the touch screen
– View the current game on the top screen at the same time
– Top screen can show the lower and upper screens from the game at the same time

– 3DS will automatically connect to Nintendo’s servers when you’re by a Wi-Fi access point and playing a game
– Can disable your online and game status from being known
– LED will flash orange when a friend comes online

– Shows StreetPass/SpotPass transfers
– Don’t have to access the list to see when you have new content
– Applet’s icon on the Home menu will change when you get something new
– Software that has gained new content will show a special icon
– LED flash for SpotPass/StreetPass while your system is in Sleep Mode
