This information comes from Epic Mickey creator Warren Spector…

“Yes, I have no interest on working on one offs. I want to do things that have a life beyond me, beyond the team, beyond a single game… I hope there are wasteland games featuring Mickey Mouse and also the Lucky Rabbit for years to come. We’re doing comic books and graphic novels, I want Wasteland to live on beyond this game.”

Obviously we won’t know how Epic Mickey will turn out until it’s released later this year, but I have a really good feeling about the game. Warren Spector has a great track record, so that in itself eases many concerns I’d have if this title was in the hands of another developer. If Epic Mickey lives up to expectations, I’d gladly welcome at least one sequel. Although, hopefully Spector will have a chance one day to work on a Duck Tales project!
