Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH is readying the ultimate mini-game collection for Wii, as Hudson Soft’s Oops! heads to the Nintendo format in June 2010.
Oops! takes the popular ‘Island’ series in a new direction, that focuses on entertaining mini games and an unique reward system. Boasting 100 fun, bite-sized games players design their own avatar and will then put it through its paces in Oops!’s many – often bizarre – challenges. Up to four players can compete as they attempt to avoid being bitten by a shark, spot which items have been moved or changed in a cunning ‘Spot the Difference’ challenge, or risk pulling ropes hanging from a ceiling – some of which give rewards, some of which bring all manner or nastiness tumbling from above!
Other challenges include using the Wii Remote to fill a balloon as quickly as possible using the relevant motions, heading bombs towards opponents, dancing with a monkey, and even playing the part of a pin at the end of a bowling alley and desperately attempting to evade the oncoming ball!
Note: Just to be clear, this information applies to Europe (see release below).
Hudson tells a Shadowy Tale
Konami turns spotlight on Hudson Soft’s innovative platform title for Wii
9th April, 2010Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has shed more light on its innovative Wii platform game, A Shadow’s Tale, which has been created by Hudson Soft for release in Autumn, 2010.
A Shadow’s Tale takes the basic formula of the platform game and gives it a novel twist. For reasons that become clear as the game progresses, the player controls the shadow of a young boy. The shadow has one purpose in life: to scale the colossal tower that dominates the game’s skyline. And to do this he has to make use of the light that is cast over the game’s beautifully realized stages.

The comments below come from Junichi Masuda’s blog. Masuda has has been involved with the Pokemon games since the beginning and has had a directing role since Gold/Silver.
“PR was completely new titles we are developing at last!
‘Pokemon Black’
‘Pokemon White’
We are a little bit to enhance quality,
Are spending more time on this work now.
As you can happily enjoy even to those who until now.
To satisfy those who have never played well.
And this time, people think that Pokemon graduate.
Many people want to enjoy.
Are produced in such a thought.
The film, is reborn as revolutionary Pokemon.
Please stay tuned.
Chao.”
As you can tell, this is a Google translation. However, you can probably understand most of what was said. Masuda seems to be indicating that there are some big changes ahead for Black and White. Keep your eyes peeled for more information about the new games over the next few days.
– Characters in latest art piece are the main character and heroine
– Director: “There is a wall between the two.”
– Other stories in The Last Story besides the one with the two characters in the latest art piece, including:
* The fear of speaking your true feelings
* The mystery of the father who went missing on boat
* The difficulty a leader has in making decisions
* The close accomplice who’s turned to evil
* The foolish archaeologist’s prison break
– Director: “It’s very important to merge battles and gameplay with story. Neither can stand on its own. Once both are connected together, the characters will rise up as ‘human’ within the container of a game.”
– Producer: “The characters who appear in The Last Story all walk their own paths and have their own stories.”
– Producer feels that players might be touched by other stories in the game: “Once you’ve been touched by that, it’s likely that you’ll be able to feel their [the characters outside of the main character] true feelings, which you did not see before.”
