Telltale Games has just announced that everyone’s favorite attractive person, Strong Bad, will have his second episode released on WiiWare this Monday in North America. The PC version will also be available on the same date, worldwide, on September 15th. Telltale has yet to officially reveal details as far as release dates in other territories go for WiiWare. Once again, this game is scheduled for an October release in Japan and will cost 1200 Wii points.

“We continue to believe that the Wii is a relatively inhospitable platform for third-party publishers. The Wii version of Madden 09 sold 79 percent less units than the PS3 version and 87 percent less units than the 360 version, despite a larger console installed base and an improved Metacritic rating.” – Doug Creutz, analyst

In some cases, third-party titles have sold rather poorly on the Wii. On the other hand, there have been games such as Guitar Hero which have performed amazingly well in the market. I think it’s all a matter of who the audience is that owns the Wii. In general, Nintendo system owners have not been known for purchasing Madden titles when the results are compared to other platforms.

“Nintendo has chosen not to participate in E for All, as it did not fit into our plans for the year. We wish the participants and show organizers good luck with the event.” – Nintendo statement

This actually comes as a huge surprise, mainly because Nintendo put in a pretty big show last year. I am curious to know if there are any additional events (public or not) that Nintendo has planned for the remainder of 2008.
