3D Thunder Blade

It’s been a long wait, but SEGA has finally launched four new 3D Classics on the Australian 3DS eShop. 3D Outrun, 3D Fantasy Zone, 3D Fantasy Zone 2 and 3D Thunder Blade are all available as of now. Pricing is set at $6.50 each.

SEGA uploaded a launch trailer for 3D Thunder Blade. We’ve posted it below.

The next SEGA 3D Classic is launching next week, according to a listing on the eShop. 3D Thunder Blade should arrive on May 14 on $5.99. Given the release timing of previous SEGA 3D Classics, it’s likely coming out next Thursday in Europe as well.

The Australian Classification Board has now given ratings to several Sega 3D Classics. The recently rated titles are 3D Out Run, 3D Fantasy Zone, 3D Fantasy Zone II, and 3D Thunder Blade.

A couple of these titles had already been anticipated to have launched alongside other PAL releases, however they seemed to have been delayed. Sega never commented on the delay but seeing ratings given to the games is good evidence that we should see them released sometime soon.

No specific release date has been given at this time.

SEGA has revealed the next game joining its lineup of classic games redone in 3D. On August 20, 3D Thunder Blade will be available in Japan. Pricing is set at 926 yen.
