Witch on the Holy Night Japanese release date

Publisher Aniplex and developer Type-Moon have set a final release date for Witch on the Holy Night. In Japan, the game will be available on December 8.

Witch on the Holy Night was confirmed for Switch at the very end of 2021. While we knew the game would be arriving in December, a specific date hadn’t been determined until today.

Publisher Aniplex and developer Type-Moon have provided an update on Witch on the Holy Night, confirming that English text will be fully supported. Other available languages include Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

For those that missed our coverage a few months ago, Witch on the Holy Night for Switch is based on the 2012 PC original. Full voice acting and proper HD visuals are planned.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles has been announced for Switch with a release date of June 9, 2022. This release is for the Japanese version of the game being published by Aniplex and developed by CyberConnect2. The game was originally released on October 14, 2021 for current and last-gen consoles.

The Switch version will be priced at 7,480 yen and will receive a physical and limited edition. The limited edition will cost 11,800 yen and features additional costumes such as the Butterfly Mansion Patient and Kimetsu Academy costumes, as well as 16,000 Kimetsu Points.

All of this was announced in the Weekly Shonen Jump, no information on the western release has been given at this time.

ATRI: My Dear Moments and Adabana Odd Tales

Aniplex, in collaboration with porting studio iMel, announced that the visual novels ATRI: My Dear Moments and Adabana Odd Tales are making their way to Switch. Both are due out on December 16.

During today’s Type-Moon Times broadcast, publisher Aniplex and developer Type-Moon debuted new gameplay from Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon. Ten minutes of footage is now available.

Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon, Aniplex and Type-Moon’s visual novel title, was given a pair of commercials over the weekend. The adverts highlighting the game’s Aruceid route “Moon Princess” and Ciel route “Rainbow of Night” can be found below.

Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon launches for Switch in Japan on August 26. At the moment, there’s no word on a western release.

The manga adaptation Everyday Today’s MENU for EMIYA Family is getting new DLC on August 5, 2021. This DLC is called the “Lancer Scenario Pack” and it will be 990 yen in Japan. 

The pack will add Lancer (V.A. Nobutoshi Cann) as a playable character that will have his own menu with new dishes. Aniplex has not said whether this content will be coming to the West or given any dates associated with a worldwide release at this time.

Today, Aniplex and Type-Moon issued a second official trailer for Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon, a remake of the original Tsukihime. It can be seen in the video below starting at 4:18.
