If you purchase the Persona 5 Strikers Digital Deluxe Edition, Persona 5 Strikers can be played now. The general release is scheduled for February 23.

This past week, Atlus was kind enough to invite us to a pre-release event for the upcoming Switch title Persona 5 Strikers. We were able to go hands-on with the game to see the first full mission, including story, Warriors-style combat, and even the introduction to the mysterious new party member, Sophia.

Persona 5 Strikers English voice recording was put on hold due to quarantine

Persona 5 Strikers is finally heading west in February. For awhile, there was some uncertainty regarding if and when the game would be localized. It seems that the coronavirus pandemic is partly to blame for the long wait for an announcement.
Erika Harlacher and Cassandra Lee Morris, the voice actors for Ann and Morgana respectively, shared a bit of behind the scenes information during a recent discussion video. It turns out that English voice recording kicked off around April of last year. When the pandemic hit and quarantine went into effect, everything was put on hold.

Months after it came out in Japan, Persona 5 Strikers is finally coming west in 2021. Atlus had a number of the game’s voice actors react to the recently-released trailer announcing the English release.

Around the release of Persona 5 Strikers in Japan, Atlus released a demo on the Switch eShop. Unfortunately, it appears that there won’t be anything similar for the west. Atlus said that there are currently no plans for a demo in North America and Europe.
Regarding the voice acting, it turns out that this was all done remotely in light of the pandemic that’s taken place this year. Those that prefer the Japanese voices will still have that as an option.
