Castle of Shikigami 2 physical west

Original (4/7): Red Art Games has announced plans to produce a physical release for Castle of Shikigami 2 on Switch in the west.

Both ESRB and PEGI-rated versions are planned. Video Games Plus will be handling distribution for North America while Red Art Games will be handling things for Europe.

Castle of Shikigami 2 finally launched on Switch this week after previous delays, and we have gameplay. This marks the return of the 2003 bullet hell shooter.

Previously reported for a December 2021 release, Castle of Shikigami 2 has been delayed for Switch to 2022, per publisher Degica Games and developers Alfa System and Cosmo Machia.  Special thanks to Gematsu for the translation of this information. Degica Games’ arcade classic Castle of Shikigami 2 is coming to Switch in December 2021. This shoot ’em up was originally released in arcades and on the GameCube in 2003, but this version will be upgraded with new modes and story localization. 

The exact date of the release is not given (just the vague December 2021), but more details will surely come in the coming months. In the meantime, a trailer for the game is included below, as well as a description of the game from its Steam Page.

Hero Must Die. Again

The anti-RPG Hero Must Die. Again previously was made available on the Switch eShop. It’s now getting a physical release, thanks to Limited Run Games.

Pre-orders for the physical version of Hero Must Die. Again open on March 9 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET. Limited Run Games will be accepting reservations here.

Rival Megagun

Degica Games and Spacewave Software have announced that a major update is out now for Rival Megagun.

Here’s what’s new:

 The creator of Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Mages., along with publisher Degica Games will be bringing Ogre Tale to Switch and other platforms. While the console release dates have not yet been decided, the game will arrive on Steam August 20th for $19.99. Check out the overview and trailer collection below rounded up by Gematsu:

Rival Megagun

Spacewave Software today announced a major update for its competitive split-screen vertical shoot ’em up Rival Megagun. It’ll come with new features and updates “designed to rebalance, enhance, and just in general make this deep-space battle royale a little more intense for all parties involved.”
