Front Mission 1st Remake release date

Original (11/2): Forever Entertainment has nailed down a final release date for Front Mission 1st: Remake. The game is heading to Switch on November 30, 2022, the company confirmed today.

Front Mission 1st: Remake was announced for Switch earlier this year. A November release window was given back in September, but we didn’t have a specific date until today.

Front Mission 1st Remake Classic Modern modes

Front Mission 1st: Remake is going the extra mile by including Classic and Modern game modes. In a tweet published earlier today, Forever Entertainment detailed what’s featured in each and the differences between them. We even have a little bit of gameplay.

With the Classic mode in the game, players can expect the soundtrack without any significant alterations, the original camera view, and essentially the same experience as the original. Meanwhile, Modern mode is where more of the remake aspect comes into play with a remastered soundtrack, perspective camera view, and more freedom with the camera thanks to the ability to change the rotation and pitch. On top of that, the team has implemented small fixes and improvements when playing in Modern.

Front Mission 1st: Remake will launch for Switch in November, it’s been announced. Front Mission 2 will follow in 2023. A remake of Front Mission 3 has been confirmed as well, though launch timing hasn’t been confirmed.
