SteamWorld Dig Wii U port not happening any time soon
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 3 Comments
Image & Form doesn’t have any immediate plans to bring SteamWorld Dig to Wii U. The studio explained on Twitter that porting the game over from the 3DS or PC versions would be “quite tough”.
Image & Form wrote:
@GoldMetalSonic sorry to disappoint… π the port to Wii U is quite tough from either 3DS or PC with our tech. Maybe later? π
— Image & Form (@ImageForm) February 14, 2014
@curbles @GoldMetalSonic Hehe! A few aspects – drawing the lower screen/gamepad in HD, and generally messing a lot. Maybe later? π

Image & Form not ruling out Anthill port for 3DS
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 0 comments
Anthill is Image & Form’s strategy game first released in 2011. Just last year, the studio brought the game over to Android-supported devices.
Could Anthill head to the 3DS as well? Image & Form won’t rule out the possibility, and the company did note on Twitter that it would “like to see Anthill on more platforms”. With enough fan interest, it’s something that may happen.
@kitroplious @MirbyStudios @GoNintendoTweet I would personally like to see Anthill on more platforms – start a riot, and we'll have to! π

Co-founder Brjann Sigurgeirsson told the publication that the team is “definitely” looking into making SteamWorld a reality on Nintendo’s home platform. Sigurgeirsson also said that “Wii U would work very well for the SteamWorld series”.
Sigurgeirsson’s comments in full:
“The Wii U would work very well for the SteamWorld series, so it’s definitely one of the things that we’re looking into – we’re fortunate that we left mobile at the right time and got embraced by Nintendo when it happened.”

Image & Form not ruling out SteamWorld Dig for Wii U
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 5 Comments
Image & Form is leaving the door open to the possibility of bringing SteamWorld Dig to Wii U.
Although CEO Brjann Sigurgeirsson won’t make any commitments, he acknowledged to 4CR that fans have made requests to see the game ported over to Nintendo’s console. Keep in mind that the team hasn’t given the idea too much thought.
Sigurgeirsson said:
It feels like weβre considering and reassessing our options every week. Jools at Renegade Kid, Rhod at Dakko Dakko and many other indie devs are very brave to stand at the frontline for the Wii U, and we havenβt had time to give it very much thought yet β weβve been up over our ears with the Steam version and its release. When we announced the Steam version I got a tweet from a Nintendo fan saying βGreat! Now you have HD graphics, porting to Wii U canβt take more than an afternoon!β It takes a bit longer than thatβ¦ π Weβll see where we go. With an acclaimed game in your back pocket, the future is full of interesting choices.
