The next summoning event in Fire Emblem Heroes is almost here. On Friday, “Doorway to Destiny” will begin.

Quan, Silvia, Lewyn are the featured characters here. Each one is a part of Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. A new story chapter will be included with the event.

Here’s a trailer for Doorway to Destiny in Fire Emblem Heroes:

The latest brand new Grand Hero Battle is now live in Fire Emblem Heroes. This one features Jamke, an archer from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. You have until September 12th to clear this battle to add Jamke to your team.

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems are gearing up for the next Voting Gauntlet in Fire Emblem Heroes. The theme this time around is “The Chosen Ones”. The event, which starts on September 5, will determine the most popular Hero over three rounds.

To get ready for the Voting Gauntlet, players will find a new summoning focus featuring the four Heroes who ranked highest in the 2017 Choose Your Legends event. It’ll last until September 11.

A new set of Order of Heroes quests has been added to Fire Emblem Heroes. These quests require you to defeat a variety of enemies using Alfonse: Prince of Askr, Sharena: Princess of Askr and Anna: Commander. The rewards are feathers, orbs and badges. The quests will be available for two weeks, until September 14th.

Fire Emblem Heroes update

The next major update for Fire Emblem Heroes is on the way. Version 2.9.0 will be available in early September. Here are some of the major changes coming to the game with this update:

  • Relay Defense maps: Relay Defense maps will start to appear in Special Maps starting on September 8th. They will be released periodically instead of Rival Domains maps; Relay Defense maps will be active for two weeks at a time while Rival Domains maps will be active for one week at a time. Like Rival Domains, Relay Defense is played with brigades. As the name suggests, this mode is more focused on defending your territory. Every two turns, your active Heroes will be swapped in and out in groups of five. You will receive a score based on how many enemies you defeat and how many of your Heroes survive.
  • Weapon Refinery Update: Cherche: Wyvern Friend and Odin; Potent Force will be able to learn new character-specific weapon skills: Cherche’s Axe and Odin’s Grimoire, respectively. Also, additional refining options will be added for Celica: Caring Princess’ weapon, Ragnarok.
  • Combat Manuals: Combat Manuals will essentially be a new way to preserve space in your barracks. You can send a Hero back to their world to create a Combat Manual of them – you will no longer be able to use them in battle, but you can use that Combat Manual for the purposes of Inherit Skill and Merge Allies. Combat Manuals don’t use up barracks slots and you can have up to 9,999 of each type of Combat Manual. However, note that you can’t turn Combat Manuals back into combat-usable Heroes.

There will also be a variety of smaller changes:

  • You will be able to check the blessing season on the Edit Team screen
  • You will have the option of having your team appear on the right-hand side of the screen in Tap Battle
  • You will be able to switch between Reserve Teams and Primary Teams in the UI for battles that require a second team, such as Tempest Trials and Arena Assault
  • In Grand Conquests, a warning will be displayed when there are 10 minutes or less remaining in each battle
  • New friend requests that are awaiting confirmation will now be displayed at the top of the list
  • On Android devices, tapping the back icon during battle will open the Battle menu

The recently announced Legendary Hero Summoning Focus featuring Marth: Hero-King is now live in Fire Emblem Heroes. He and other 5-star Heroes have an initial appearance rate of 8%. The Summoning Focus will be available until September 4th.

Also, the Legendary Hero Battle featuring Marth: Hero-King can now be found in the Special Maps section. In addition, the Legendary Hero Battle featuring Robin: Fell Vessel is back for a re-run. For both of these, a new difficulty mode has been added: Abyssal. This mode offers additional rewards and is only available if you beat the respective map on Infernal difficulty first. Both of these maps will be available until September 4th.

The next round of Grand Conquest battles in Fire Emblem Heroes will start on August 29, and you can now pre-register for it. This time, the battles will take place on the continent of Jugdral from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.

A couple of changes have been made to the mode. Each battle wll consist of 11 rounds instead of 22, and each one will last 4 hours. Also, the method for calculating the final score has been changed. It will now be determined using the area score from each round and the total number of controlled areas at the end of the final round.

A new Legendary Hero is joining the fray in Fire Emblem Heroes. Marth: Hero-King will soon be in the game, Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have revealed.

The character is going live on Tuesday, August 28. Other heroes will also be appearing during the event.
