July 2025 Nintendo Direct

Nintendo just passed along its official recap announcement for the July Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase. If you’re looking for a helpful rundown of everything shown during the presentation, the press release should come in handy.

A number of games were shown from third-parties. Monster Hunter Stories 3, Persona 3 Reload, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, and Octopath Traveler 0 were among the titles shown.

Octopath Traveler 0

During today’s Nintendo Direct, Square Enix unveiled Octopath Traveler 0. It will be available on December 4, 2025.

This is the third main entry in the Octopath Traveler series. We previously saw Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler 2, though the franchise hadn’t appeared on Nintendo Switch 2 – until now.

Here’s what’s been shared thus far about the new title:

Start from zero in a personal quest of restoration and retribution! In this prequel to the first OCTOPATH TRAVELER, journey to stop powerful villains using fast-paced, turn-based combat. For the first time in the series, play through the eyes of your own custom protagonist and rebuild your hometown. With over 30 recruitable party members, an engaging story, and all-new features and returning core elements like the iconic HD-2D graphics and the Break & Boost battle system, players embark on a journey of their own creation when OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0 arrives for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on Dec. 4.

The Adventures of Elliot The Millennium Tale

We’ve just heard from Square Enix that The Adventures of Elliot The Millennium Tale is planned for Nintendo Switch 2. The game will be launching in 2026, though a free demo lands today on the Nintendo eShop.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tale comes from the creators of Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default. The new game, which features HD-2D visuals, offers action adventure gameplay with a journey woven across time and space. Also noted in the description, players can open new paths as they explore an untamed continent and reveal its mysterious history. There’ll also be battles with strategic support abilities provided by a helpful fairy.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment received an update during today’s Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase. A new trailer debuted during the presentation.

SEGA and Atlus are bringing Persona 3 Reload to Nintendo Switch 2, it’s just been revealed. The companies are planning on having the port out on October 23, 2025.

Persona 3 Reload originally debuted in February 2024. This is a remake of the PlayStation 2 RPG, now with fully updated graphics, gameplay adjustments and changes, and some new content.

Pac-Man World Re-Pac 2

Just announced, Pac-Man World Re-Pac 2 is heading to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. It’s due out on September 26, 2025.

This is a remake of the original Pac-Man World 2 with fully updated graphics. Just like the original, it offers 3D platforming gameplay. Those who own the remake of the first title in the series, Pac-Man World Re-Pac, can unlock an exclusive Toc-Man costume once the game launches.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

After it was previously rumored, Bandai Namco confirmed plans for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch versions of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero today. This one is planned for November 14, 2025.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, which was made by Spike Chunsoft, it is the fourth main entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi series. The 3D team fighter originally released towards the end of last year.

Just Dance 2026 Edition

Ubisoft is set to release Just Dance 2026 Edition on Nintendo Switch, the company has announced. It will be available on October 14, 2025.

Just Dance 2026 Edition is the latest entry in the dancing series. Ubisoft says there’ll be 40 exciting new tracks, from chart-topping hits to timeless classics. Confirmed songs thus far include:

Once Upon a Katamari

Bandai Namco is making Once Upon a Katamari for Nintendo Switch, the company just announced. It’ll be out on October 24, 2025.

This is the first new entry in the Katamari Damacy series in fourteen years. The King of All Cosmos has accidentally destroyed the Earth and stars once again, so players will need to restore the starry sky by rolling their Katamari across time itself, collecting objects through history as they visit the Jurassic Period, the Ice Age, historic Japan and more. Those who have save data from either Katamari Damacy Reroll or We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie can unlock a playable Young King once the game launches.

Monster Hunter Stories 3

The Monster Hunter Stories series continues on, and Capcom just revealed Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection for Nintendo Switch 2. Fans can expect it in 2026.
