LEGO Builder’s Journey update adds now, adds Creative Mode

A new update recently went live for LEGO Builder’s Journey, which added Creative Mode as a brand new feature.
Install the latest patch to update this functionality. It allows you to “go and build your own models or scenes with a curated selection of LEGO bricks.”

LEGO has had a long history of making games in which their mini figures take center stage and are adapted for different licenses across film, television, books, and more. One of the biggest challenges, however, is that the bricks themselves can sometimes feel neglected. Light Brick Studio’s LEGO Builder’s Journey is the first brand new IP not only from the studio, but from the brand in quite some time. It aims to finally have the plastic bricks be recognized as a star of their own, giving us not only a game that provides ingenuity, but – much like the blocks themselves – creative freedom on how you place and manipulate the blocks as you carve and build a journey for yourself through a sequence of beautifully poetic puzzles and masterful narration through environmental storytelling.

Just this past week, Light Brick Studio announced that LEGO Builder’s Journey is heading to Switch. We were able to speak with director Karsten Lund to discuss the puzzle title in more detail. Lund discussed how the game to be, what to expect from the Switch version – in terms of features, content, and performance – and more.

LEGO Builder’s Journey arrives on Switch June 22

Originally an Apple Arcade title, Lego Builder’s Journey will be seeing a port to Switch — and rather soon. The atmospheric, geometric puzzle game has been out on mobile since 2019. Publisher LEGO Games and developer Light Brick Studio made the announcement that Switch and PC will be seeing the title, the latter via Steam. Check out the overview from the Steam page below:
LEGO Builder’s Journey is an atmospheric, geometric puzzle game that asks us to sometimes follow the instructions… and sometimes to break the rules.
Take your time to experiment with free-form puzzle solving while immersing yourself in a poetic world of LEGO bricks. Throughout the narrative, there will be ups and downs, challenges, and celebrations. Figuring out who we are and what we become is the Builder’s Journey.
The breathtaking LEGO brick world is brought to life with the most accurately rendered LEGO elements yet to feature on screens, including stunning ray tracing elements.
