Don’t have a television nearby? Want to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with three other players? Fortunately, that’s entirely possible.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe does in fact allow for four-player split-screen while playing undocked. You may not have as much real estate to work with, but the feature is there if you want to use it.
Thanks to Zack for the tip.

There aren’t too many Switch games at the moment that use the device’s touchscreen. But with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the touchscreen functionality has been retained from the original Wii U release.
It’s nothing too crazy, but you can fully navigate Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s with a tap of the finger. You can select different modes, characters, vehicle parts, options and more. We took a brief video showing the touchscreen usage in action below.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has a controller restriction with wireless split-screen play
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 35 Comments
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe lets you mess around with many different control schemes. In most cases, you can play with a Switch Pro Controller or a single Joy-Con. You can also use a pair of Joy-Con controllers that are either attached, detached or in a grip.
When it comes to the Wireless Play mode, things become a bit more limited. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s split-screen grays out the option for each player to use a full pair of Joy-Con controllers. Because of this, it’s only possible to use a single Joy-Con per player or two Pro Controllers.

[Review] Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Posted on 7 years ago by Dennis Gagliardotto(@LyonHart_) in Reviews, Switch | 30 Comments
System: Switch
Release date: April 28, 2017
Developer: Nintendo
Publisher Nintendo
Two years ago, I wrote an article on my relationship with Mario Kart and how Mario Kart 8 revitalized the series. In making that game, Nintendo reignited the magic I used to feel towards the franchise during the N64 and GameCube days. Mario Kart 8 shed a whole new light on kart racers and the potential they had at a time where most felt stale or rehashed, with Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed being the new “king” of that genre before Mario Kart 8 returned to reclaim. Now in 2017, we’re back with the definitive version of one of Wii U’s best titles on its successor, the Nintendo Switch, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It’s as extravagant and beautiful as it was on Wii U, but this time with a revamped battle mode, all DLC included, a few new features, and plenty to love all over again.
