switch online super mario odyssey icons third wave

More profile icons are now available based on Super Mario Odyssey for Nintendo Switch Online members. This time around, Tostarena gets the focus. There are photos for characters, borders, and more. The second wave featured Cascade Kingdom.

The custom Switch icons feature was added in earlier this month. My Nintendo members can now spend their Platinum Points on these images, though they need to be an active subscriber of Nintendo Switch Online as well.

Nintendo provided a first look at F-Zero X on Nintendo Switch Online when it announced the game’s release date for the service a short while ago, and a new video from GameXplain compares this version to the N64 original.

F-Zero X originally released on the N64 in 1998. It has since appeared on the Wii Virtual Console.

F-Zero X is the next N64 game to be joining Nintendo Switch Online, it’s been announced. The title will be available to those that are subscribed to the program at the Expansion Pass tier starting on March 11, 2022.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask was the previous release for the lineup of N64 games on Nintendo Switch Online, which came out on February 25. We did know that F-Zero X would be arriving at some point, but Nintendo was reluctant to share any sort of release window.

Monster Hunter Rise Switch Online

Monster Hunter Rise will be offered to Nintendo Switch Online members as the program’s next Game Trial, Capcom has revealed. This applies to both North America and Europe.

With the Game Trial, players can experience everything the title has to offer without any restrictions. Progress also transfers over to the full game.

The selection of user icons has been updated on Nintendo Switch Online, adding a new set of designs based on Super Mario Odyssey.

Nintendo just made this feature available last week. My Nintendo members can spend points on various icons, with the Super Mario Odyssey set comprised of characters, enemies, backgrounds, and frames. Icons currently cost either 5 or 10 Platinum Points.

Switch Online app update 2.0.0

Nintendo has just released a new 2.0.0 update for its Switch Online app. It includes a new design, the ability to see which friends are online, and more.

The full patch notes for the Nintendo Switch Online app version 2.0.0 update are as follows:

Nintendo has just detailed a few additions to the Nintendo Switch Online app on Switch systems. Specifically, they’ve updated the “Missions and Rewards” section of the app, adding a new set of missions to complete for Platinum points along with new user icon elements that can be purchased with those same points.

The latter is particularly noteworthy, as the last time new profile icons were made available to users was a system update in November 2020. Along with these new icons being made available, Nintendo is also offering new backgrounds and frames that can be used to expand on the customization of user profiles. These new user elements will be available until April 4, 2022, at which point they’ll likely be switched out for a different set.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask has just been made available on Nintendo Switch Online through the Expansion Pack service, and we have gameplay. Just over an hour of footage is available.

Here’s an overview for The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask:

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack was updated to version 2.0.0 today. Although it added Zelda: Majora’s Mask as a brand new game, fixes for prior titles are also included.

One of the aspects widely discussed for Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Nintendo Switch Online was the Water Temple – particularly the implementation of fog in the room with Dark Link. According to Twitter user OatmealDome, it has now been fully restored and essentially looks like how it should, meaning it closely resembles the original release. We have a look at the updated Water Temple room and the use of fog above.
