Nintendo announces Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday sales: Switch sets records, $250 million generated, much more
Posted on 6 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Switch | 0 comments
Nintendo has announced results from sales generated between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday, and has set a couple of records in the process.
First up, the company has highlighted a couple of sales records for Switch. It’s now the best-selling console in the U.S. for that five-day period having topped the Wii. It also had the best-selling week ever in the United States.
Switch was one of the top-selling products on Thanksgiving, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday
Posted on 6 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
We previously heard that Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee were some of the top-selling products on Black Friday. Nintendo’s actual console also did very well during the holiday week.
Adobe Digital Insights indicates that Switch was the top-selling product on Thanksgiving. It was the fourth best-seller on Small Business Saturday, and was again in the top five – specifically #3 – for Cyber Monday.
Nintendo has yet to share any official data about its performance during Black Friday week. However, it’s clear that Switch and a number of its games did very well.
Super Mario Odyssey surpasses 500,000 copies sold in the UK, second Switch game to do so
Posted on 6 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Super Mario Odyssey has reached a new milestone in the UK. Propelled by the latest sales coming from Black Friday, the game has surpassed 500,000 copies sold.
Switch only has one other title to hit the same mark, and most would probably be able to guess what it is. Indeed: it’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Note that digital sales aren’t included here. If they were, Super Mario Odyssey probably would have surpassed the 500k mark a little while ago.
