Splatoon 2 apparently getting Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology collaboration

April Fools’ Day can be a tricky thing. Sometimes you aren’t quite sure what is and what isn’t true, but a new announcement made by Nintendo today is apparently being considered the real deal. We’ll let you know if we hear otherwise.
For Splatoon 2, a collaboration with the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) has been announced. As one part of this, a new Splatfest will be held on April 21. Players will be asked: “Which makes you feel the most wonder? Unknown/undiscovered creatures vs. advanced technology”.

Splatoon European Championship live stream

The Splatoon European Championship is reaching its conclusion today. All of the action begins at 3 AM PT / 6 AM ET / 11 AM in the UK / 12 PM in Europe.
To start out the event, Off the Hook will be performing. The Splatoon 2 matches will then follow short after.

Splatoon 2 – European Splatfest #9 announced

It turns out not one, but two Splatfests will be held in Splatoon 2 next weekend. In addition to the North American competition, a separate event is planned for Europe.
What do you prefer: eating popcorn as salty or sweet? If you’re in Europe, you can make your voice heard by competing in the Splatfest. It’ll be held for a full day starting on April 7 at 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe.

Splatoon 2 – North American Splatfest #9 announced

A new North American Splatfest will be held in Splatoon 2 next week. This one is all about sports, putting baseball up against soccer.
The Splatfest begins on April 6 at 9 PM PT / April 7 at 12 AM ET. Expect the event to last for a full day, with the results coming soon after.

Splatoon 2: Sorella Brella being added to the game soon

The next new weapon coming to Splatoon 2 is the Sorella Brella. It’s identical to the Splat Brella in terms of stats, but comes with the Autobomb sub-weapon and the Splat Bomb Launcher special instead. It’ll be available on Saturday around noon in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and Friday night in North America.

Piranha Pit joins Splatoon 2 later this week

The next Splatoon 2 map is arriving very soon. Piranha Pit will be added to the game later this week, Nintendo has confirmed.
Piranha Pit will be out on Friday at 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET. That should be Saturday at 3 AM in the UK / 4 AM in Europe.
