Nintendo uploaded a new piece of Splatoon 2 art to celebrate this weekend’s global Splatfest. We’ve attached the image above.

A new Splatfest in Splatoon 2 will kick off next weekend, Nintendo has announced. This one is particularly special since the theme and results are global. It’s action vs. comedy this time around.

The Splatfest begins at the following times:

– 8 PM PT (January 12)
– 11 PM ET (January 12)
– 4 AM in the UK (January 13)
– 5 AM in Europe (January 5)

As usual, the Splatfest will last for a full day. It’s not entirely clear when the results will be posted, but it could be a couple of hours after the event concludes.

Splatoon 2 had two weapon updates this week. In addition to the Octobrush Nouveau a few days ago, Nintendo added in the L-3 Nozzlenose D. Check out some footage below.

It’s the end of the week, which means another weapon update for Splatoon 2. This time, it’s the L-3 Nozzlenose D, which is identical to the regular L-3 Nozzlenose, except that it comes with the Burst Bomb sub-weapon and the Inkjet special. It’ll be available in-game tomorrow around noon in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and later tonight in North America.

It’s the end of the week, which means another weapon update for Splatoon 2. This time it’s a brand-new weapon: the Undercover Brella will be added to the game soon. Compared to other Brella-type weapons, it has lower durability but can be fired while its semi-transparent shield is open. It comes with the Ink Mine sub-weapon and the Splashdown special. It will be available tomorrow around noon in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and later tonight in North America.

A new update has gone live for Splatoon 2. Nintendo just released version 2.1.1 for all players.

Today’s update primarily makes a few changes to multiplayer and League Battle. For the full patch notes, continue on below.

Here’s something that’s a bit interesting. Today, Nintendo posted a new job listing on its website for a Splatoon 2 level designer. The game has obviously been out for awhile, but Nintendo is still updating it new content and patches.

The designer will be involved with the adjustment of stages, weapons, and rules. These include adjustments to existing levels.
