Splatoon 3

Splatoon 3 pre-order bonus

With Splatoon 3 set to arrive on Switch soon, now’s as good a time as any for us to publish our pre-order guide the game, which will contain information about many major retailer reservations as well as any bonuses that are announced.

As the name implies, Splatoon 3 is the third major entry in the series and the second title on Switch. Many elements are returning like Turf War and Salmon Run, though there’ll be new stages and bosses. Also, an entirely new story mode is planned where players can discover the secrets of Alterna, the Fuzzy Ooze, and how they connect to the mode’s theme, “Return of the Mammalians”.

Nintendo Treehouse: Live August 2022 live stream

With the Nintendo Treehouse: Live for August 2022 is beginning not too long from now, we’ve gone ahead and set up a post containing the live stream. The fun begins at 9:30 AM PT / 12:30 PM ET / 5:30 PM in the UK / 6:30 PM in Europe.

As a reminder, the event will feature two Splatoon 3 segments, including a deep dive into the single-player mode plus an overview of stages and strategies for the upcoming Splatfest World Premiere demo. The third segment will offer the world premiere of live gameplay for Harvestella, Square Enix’s new RPG.

Nintendo PAX West 2022

Nintendo was previously confirmed for PAX West 2022, and the company has now shared concrete details as to what it has planned for the expo.

Splatoon 3 will be a major highlight of Nintendo’s involvement. The rocks of the new Scorch Gorge stage will be appearing as backdrops within its booth, which is being transformed into scenes inspired by the sun-scorched Splatlands. Those that stop by can play a demo of multiplayer Turf War battles. Note that a free Warp Pipe Pass is required to play Splatoon 3 at the Nintendo booth, and fans can register for the chance to reserve one now here until August 28 at 11:59 PM PT. The Nintendo Splatoon 3 booth will also include real-life photo opportunities.

Original (8/17): Nintendo has released a new Japanese trailer for Splatoon 3 coming in at five minutes long. At least for now, it’s only available in Japanese.

The video introduces the basic mechanics of the game, weapons, and more. We also get a brief glimpse at the single-player mode.

A new Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentation will air on August 25, 2022, Nintendo has announced.

Two games will be featured. Splatoon 3 will have two segments, including a deep-dive into the all-new single-player mode an overview of stages and strategies for the upcoming Splatfest World Premiere demo. We’ll also be seeing a third segment featuring the world premiere of live gameplay for Harvestella from Square Enix.

Splatoon 3 file size

Nintendo has updated the file size for Splatoon 3, revealing that the final game will take up less space than initially expected.

When we first reported on the file size in April, the official eShop page had it down for 6.0GB. Now, however, it has dropped to 4.3GB. This will presumably be the final figure as we’re just a few weeks away from the game’s release.

Nintendo has released another couple of Switch My Way commercials. Between the two, Splatoon 3, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are highlighted.

Both are both adverts:

With the release of Splatoon 3 inching closer, Nintendo have uploaded a new video, this time detailing the new Tricolor Turf Wars. As the name would suggest, this mode features three teams battling at the same time.
