Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

To kick off the World of Light mode in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, we see the game’s characters vaporized by mysterious beams. Almost everyone is taken down – except Kirby. Kirby manages to escape, and that’s where the adventure mode really begins.

In a Famitsu column this week, director Masahiro Sakurai addressed Kirby’s initial survival in World of Light. He commented on a few other topics related to the game as well.

Nintendo has come forward with official confirmation on the singers for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate theme song. Two different musicians handled the Japanese and English versions.

In Japanese, the vocals are done by Erina Koga. Abby Trott sings in the English version of the theme.

Capcom and Konami have their fair share of representation in Smash Bros. Ultimate. Both companies have playable characters, Assist Trophies, and more.

To celebrate Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Capcom and Konami have sent out special art. We have a look at Mario battling Rathalos from Monster Hunter above plus new Castlevania roster inclusions Simon and Richter below.

Nintendo has come out with another piece of music from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Today’s song is the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 Trailer BGM for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Ryo Nagamatsu worked on the arrangement for the track. Nagamatsu has been involved with the soundtracks for a number of Nintendo titles since 2006, including Super Mario Galaxy 2, Nintendo Land, Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and more.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate comes out two weeks from today, but the game is already out in the wild. Whether it’s through retailers selling the game early or other means, fans are already getting their hands on it. Naturally, that only means one thing: leaks.

Like with any other major title, people are already going to work on Smash Bros. Ultimate to see what’s hidden within the game’s files. Music, bosses, and plenty more are already making the rounds online with more sure to continue.

We’ll be covering the leaks and datamines, but only in this post. No other area of the site will contain content not released by Nintendo. With that being said, we’ll round up anything interesting below. Do not proceed if you do not wish to be spoiled in any fashion.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is poised for a huge debut when it arrives on Switch next month. Thanks to Nintendo, we now know that it’s the best pre-selling game in the series. Additionally, it’s the best pre-selling Switch title – beating out Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu / Eevee.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches December 7. Expect news regarding the game’s sales to trickle in shortly after release.
