Nintendo has shared official Hyrule Warriors character overviews for Darunia, Ruto, Sheik, and Gohma on its Facebook page. You can find the full set below.

Darunia

Darunia is an extremely powerful force, even within his tribe. And just like all Gorons, his rock-like body makes him tough to mess with.

Niconico unfortunately doesn’t allow embedding of live streams. Just click the link above and you’ll be able to watch it on the site (account required).

According to the official Hyrule Warriors Twitter account, the game will not offer online co-op. Players will only be able to experience co-op play locally.

What this means for online play is currently unclear. The thought was that Hyrule Warriors will offer Internet functionality of some kind, but co-op is definitely ruled out now. I suppose we’ll see very soon!

An official Japanese page for Hyrule Warriors shares a bit more about the Wii U game.

First, as many had anticipated, online play is now officially confirmed. The wording on the page suggests that a unique mode is being prepared for those who intend to play over the Internet.

Aside from a brief mention of online support, Nintendo also confirms the automatic posting of your play status to Miiverse and the ability to purchase DLC (this was a given based on the costumes we’ve heard about).

Lastly, Hyrule Warriors supports 1 save file per user. Oh, and the game’s file size weighs in at 7.8GB.

Like most Wii U games, Hyrule Warriors will be available both at retail and on the eShop. If you opt for the latter option, keep in mind that the title is a 7.8GB download.

Hyrule Warriors is a pretty big game. However, it’s not quite as large as some of the other Wii U titles out there such as Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.
