Trinity Trigger first appeared on Switch in Japan last September. The western version most recently had an early 2023 launch window.

Here’s everything you need to know about Trinity Trigger:

Trinity Trigger Day 1 Edition

The Day 1 Edition for Trinity Trigger in the west has a 5.25” by 7.25” softcover artbook brimming with over 100 pages of game artwork from esteemed artists Yuki Nobuteru and Raita Kazama along with a two-disc soundtrack featuring the moving game score by composer Hiroki Kikuta, packaged together with the game in a custom box.

Trinity Trigger English west

XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe today announced that they’ve picked up Trinity Trigger for publishing and localization in the west, with the game receiving an English launch in early 2023.

As previously mentioned, Trinity Trigger is an action RPG from FuRyu. Some of its developers include worldbuilding artist Yuki Nobuteru (Secret of Mana), character designer Raita Kazama (Xenoblade), scenario writer Yura Kubota (Octopath Traveler), and composer Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana).

Publisher FuRyu and developer Three Rings have detailed improvements made to Trinity Trigger since the release of the game’s demo. Fans were able to provide feedback about the action RPG, and the development team implemented changes based on responses.

Trinity Trigger debut trailer

Publisher FuRyu and developer Three Rings have issued a debut trailer for Trinity Trigger, their new Switch RPG.

The project was teased last week as PROJECT-TRITRI. It was then properly revealed a few days ago, complete with its final Trinity Trigger name.

Trinity Trigger

Original (5/23): Thanks to retailer listings, Trinity Trigger has been revealed that FuRyu teased for Switch last week. It was first announced as “PROJECT-TRITRI“.

Those listings were published by Biccamera, though they have since been removed. Twitter user Renka_schedule managed to save the information and screenshots.

A new countdown website has been uncovered (originally by Gematsu) for an upcoming Action RPG called “PROJECT-TRITRI.” This game is inspired by the classic RPGs in the 90’s and has a stellar group of RPG professionals developing for it as well.

The development team includes:

  • Nobuteru Yuuki (Trials of Mana, Chrono Cross) as a World Designer
  • Raita Kazama (Xenoblade, Puzzle & Dragons) as a Character Designer
  • Yuura Kubota (Octopath Traveler, Bravely Default II) working on the Scenario
  • Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana, Trials of Mana) composing the Music
  • Atsuko Nishida, Tomohiro Kitakaze, Megumi Mizutani (Pokemon series) all designing on the game

Additionally, domerica will be handing the animation and Three Rings is labeled as the development studio.

This is an impressive lineup, and that is not all this website has revealed. The full reveal of the game will be announced on May 26, 2022 but in the meantime, there is a game design document that has been released on the teaser website that includes details such as the genre, story, concept, and character designs.

Details from that document have been included below (the translation courtesy of Gematsu).
