Fixing Pokemon Sword and Shield’s story with hidden details
Posted on 11 months ago by Ethan in Features, Switch | 0 comments
Today, we’re talking about Pokemon Sword and Shield’s story and how it can be improved using details that were included in the anime adaptation, but were for some reason not included in the games.
Ever since (and even before) its initial release in 2019, Pokemon Sword and Shield have been the subject of much controversy and criticism from fans. While most of this criticism revolved around the now (perhaps begrudgingly) somewhat-accepted removal of the National Dex, a good chunk of the criticism Pokemon Sword and Shield receives in the modern day revolves around its story. Mainly, the fact that it doesn’t make much sense.

List of all stages not in Splatoon 3 and which ones we might see in updates
Posted on 11 months ago by Ethan in Features, Switch, Wii U | 0 comments
Though all three Splatoon games are rather similar in terms of graphics and gameplay, the first two entries in the series are home to several exclusive stages that haven’t made it back to Splatoon 3 (at least, not at the time of writing). Among fans of the game, Splatoon 3’s map design is often considered one of its greatest weaknesses – mainly, the stages’ lack of alternate routes to take. Splatoon 1 and 2’s exclusive stages generally have lots of alternate routes, so we aren’t sure what happened. Regardless, today we’re looking at a list of stages not in Splatoon 3 and which ones we might see in updates.

10 Switch 2 features we’d like to see
Posted on 11 months ago by Ethan in Features, Switch 2 | 0 comments
At this point, the code name “Switch 2” is pretty much burned into all of our minds. Rumors have been swirling around for some time now, and we’ve only recently received official confirmation from Nintendo that the new system exists at all. In fact, it’s being announced during this fiscal year, which means we’ll at the very least know its name before March 2025. In the meantime, we figured it’d be a good time to think about Nintendo’s next console and some of the features we’d most like to see on it.
7 Star Primarina Tera Raid Battle guide for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Posted on 11 months ago by Ethan in Guides, Switch | 0 comments
The 7 Star Primarina Tera Raid Battle event for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is now live, and we’ve put together a guide explaining the best counters you can bring to take it down and claim its rewards for yourself.
The new 7 Star Primarina event lasts until May 12, and it comes back from May 17 to 19. Primarina’s Tera Type is Fairy, and it knows Sparkling Aria, Moonblast, Psychic, and Sing. It also knows Encore and Surf as secondary moves. This Pokemon doesn’t actually boost its stats for this battle, but it does have some rather annoying status moves that we’ve prepared for. This is one of the easier 7 Star Tera Raid Battles, but you should still get ready as best you can.

The complete history of Mythical Pokemon events
Posted on 1 year ago by Ethan in 3DS, DS, Features, GBA, Switch | 0 comments
One of the most common criticisms of modern Pokemon is its handling of Mythical Pokemon. Though the recent Mochi Mayhem DLC in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is a welcome exception, several important Mythical Pokemon have drawn attention for their distinct lack of backstory. Otherwise well-designed creatures like Diancie, Volcanion, Zeraora, and Zarude are somewhat notorious for doing absolutely nothing in the games they were introduced in. Today, we’re going over all the interesting Mythical Pokemon events the games have had to offer and coming up with new ones for the Mythical Pokemon that didn’t receive one.

System: Switch
Release date: May 9, 2024
Developer: Bandai Namco Entertainment
Publisher: Bandai Namco Entertainment
Pac-Man has quite an extensive library of games available on Switch, and Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs is the latest entry in the series. Much like Pac-Man 99 that came before it, Chomp Champs is a battle royale-style elimination game where you go up against a large group of other players. Mega Tunnel Battle actually got its start on Google Stadia back in 2020, and Chomp Champs is an updated version of the game with cross-platform play included for the first time ever. The Deluxe version includes exclusive skins that you can use to customize your Pac-Man avatar – and even without the Deluxe version, you can still earn in-game currency that lets you unlock additional costumes and customization options.

Posted on 1 year ago by Ethan in Features, GameCube | 0 comments
While we wait for his next adventure, we’ve compiled a list of the ten best Kirby games of all time. As always, don’t take this list as pure fact – it’s always just opinion, and if you have your own thoughts on which games should be ranked where, feel free to tell us in the comments down below.
Kirby’s been on more than a handful of adventures. There are over 30 different games to choose from, and each one has its own unique story and gameplay loop. It stands to reason, then, that a few of these games are better than others. We haven’t seen or heard anything from Kirby in 2024 – and even then, the past few years have been great for the pink puffball.

Kirby Star Allies lore, explained
Posted on 1 year ago by Ethan in Features, Switch | 0 comments
To many hardcore Kirby fans, Kirby Star Allies is one of the more middling entries in the series. Though it isn’t bad by any means, its simple level design and less-than-fantastic performance drew criticism when it released in 2018. Thankfully, the game is no slouch when it comes to lore – it adds a ton of it to the Kirby franchise as a whole. Today, we’re recapping Kirby Star Allies lore and explaining everything you need to know about what it adds to the series.

How to play Tower Control in Splatoon 3
Posted on 1 year ago by Ethan in Guides, Switch | 0 comments
Tower Control is one of the tougher ranked modes available in Splatoon 3. Hence its name, the mode is centered around a tower that first appears at the center of the stage. As usual, Tower Control is a lot easier when you have the ability to coordinate with a team of friends over voice chat. Whether you have access to that option or not, we’ve put together a list of tips to help you get better at the game.
