A new week, a new challenge! To add to Pokémon Shuffle’s many events and challenges, there is now a chance to get a Manectite for your Manectric with the new Mega Manectric challenge!

Similar to previous challenges with Lucario, Blastoise, and others, this Mega Manectric event will be a timed one that has you competing with other Pokémon Shuffle players in your region for a chance to be ranked to receive your Manectite, which can’t be obtained by normal means. To qualify for the Manectite, you must be one of the top 20k in Europe, 40k in North America, and 50k in Japan. In addition to this, if you are in the top 10k in Europe, 20k in North America, or 50k in Japan, you will receive a Mega Start, while the top 3k in Europe, 6k in North America, and 15k in Japan will obtain a Mega Speedup along with the previously mentioned.

As usual with these events, if you don’t rank, you will still be awarded for trying with a Jewel. Don’t forget to hit that Check In button to update your game and gain access to the event! The Mega Manectric stage will last until July 6th. Good luck!

Update: The European release date is October 16th.

Bandai Namco has just announced via Twitter that the 3DS 2D-Brawler, which launched in Japan last week, is officially getting a western release on October 20th, 2015.

Last week we reported that Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden had been rated in Australia, hinting at possible localization outside of Japan. A retailer in Spain had also started advertising the game, and now that Bandai Namco has made it official via their Twitter, fans in the Americas can get their hands on the fighter as well.

As a huge fan of DBZ and its games, this pleases me greatly. Will you be picking this one up when it launches on October 20th? Let us know your thoughts and excitement in the comments below!

Starting today until June 22nd, Giratina will be available for capture on Pokémon Shuffle. This event slightly differs from other challenges in the past, as this is the first ever Escalation Battle. What makes an Escalation Battle different from the other challenges – which have typically been timed events – is that as you beat the stage more and more, the difficulty raises, but with the difficulty rising, your chances of catching Giratina become greater and the rewards much better.

Once you reach Level 5 of the Giratina stage, you will be awarded with 1,000 coins. At Level 10, you’ll be awarded with a Disruption Delay. Level 30 provides a Mega Start, and at Level 50 a Mega Speedup.

To celebrate the launch of this new Escalation Battle, players from around the world will receive a Mega Speedup for free. All you have to do is boot up your game and hit Check In to download the new patch and obtain it!
