Tinhead

Original (10/8): QUByte Interactive has been bringing back a number of niche classics on Switch as of late, and the pattern continues with Tinhead. A listing for the game has appeared on the eShop. According to the store page, it will be available next week.

Tinhead was originally made by MicroProse UK in 1993. The action adventure platformer, which involves a mission to save the stars from Grim Squidge, originally debuted on the SEGA Genesis.

Bayonetta 3 pre-order bonus

Five years after it was first announced, Bayonetta 3 isn’t too far away from its launch on Switch, and we’re starting up our pre-order guide which will include any bonuses if they’re announced. Nintendo and PlatinumGames will be continuing the hardcore action series that first began in 2009.

Bayonetta 3 has confirmed a few story elements, including that the bioweapons known as Homunculi are invading and there’ll be a few “a virtual coven of Bayonettas”. We also know that you’ll be able to play as Viola, “a feisty witch in training who fights with a sword and a capricious companion, the demon Cheshire.” Other than that, the game will include Demon Masquerade, “a new ability that channels the demon linked to her weapon allowing for some exciting action options, not to mention some hair-raising combos.” Bayonetta can also summon certain demonic creatures like Gomorrah, Malphas, and Phantasmaraneae during battle. PlatinumGames recently confirmed that a Naive Angel Mode will be available to make things a little less risqué.

Into the Breach update 1.2.77

Subset Games has started distribution of another Into the Breach update, with the game moving up to version 1.2.77 on Switch.

Some additions, improvements, and fixes are included here. The team added a couple of new music tracks, enhanced the save file backup system, and more.

Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope cinematic

Ubisoft has shared a new cinematic launch trailer for Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope. The game is over a week out, but it provides another look at the Switch exclusive.

PlatinumGames Nintendo

According to PlatinumGames CEO Atsushi Inaba, the company “can definitely build an even stronger relationship with Nintendo moving forward.”

His comments came about while discussing Yakao Yamane having joined the company as its new vice president and CBO. Before becoming a part of PlatinumGames, he worked at Nintendo for over twenty years as former licensing GM and managing director of sales and planning.

Space Tail: Every Journey Leads Home release date

RedDeerGames and Longterm Games have set a release date for Space Tail: Every Journey Leads Home, their 2.5D platformer. All players on Switch can pick up the title on November 3, 2022.

The project was confirmed for Switch back in May. It had a fall release window at the time, so this is the first time we’re hearing about a specific date.

No Man's Sky Waypoint update version 4.0

No Man’s Sky players on Switch now have access to a new version 4.0 update known as Waypoint, which comes just a few days after the game’s launch on Nintendo’s console.

The update includes “an overhaul of design and balance, including inventories, milestones, cataloging and game modes.” Additionally, it contains “hundreds of community-favorite quality of life improvements, both macro and micro.” As another bonus for Switch players, we’re hearing that touchscreen use is now enabled.

No More Heroes 3 update 1.1.0

No More Heroes 3 has been on Switch for over a year, but the game has now received a new 1.1.0 update. Thanks to Marvelous, we have the patch notes.

The big addition of the update is the inclusion of optional Japanese voiceovers. Those interested in checking out the full patch notes can continue on below. 

Splatter Zombiecalypse Now trailer

Splatter: Zombiecalypse Now has just made it to Switch, and those that are interested in getting another look can check out a new launch trailer. Untold Tales and Dreamworlds have shown off the top-down shooter for a final time.
