I managed to take a few screencaps of Famitsu’s Zelda: Ocarina of Time live-stream event earlier today. As I said earlier though, I started watching right in the middle of the stream. I believe I only missed some footage of Hyrule Field, but other than that, Aonuma only showed the Water Temple and the very beginning of the Forest Temple (see above).

NATSUME BRINGS UNRIVALED FUN TO ITS E3 2011 LINEUP
Rune Factory: Tides Of Destiny, Harvest Moon: The Tale Of Two Towns, Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove, and Reel Fishing Paradise 3D to be Shown in Playable Form
Burlingame, CA, June 1, 2011 – Natsume Inc., a worldwide developer and publisher of family-oriented video games, today announced its expansive lineup of games for the 2011 E3 Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center June 7-9th. Nintendo 3DS Fans Nationwide to Unite for StreetPass Day on June 25

Ever since the launch of the Nintendo 3DS™ system, users around the U.S. increasingly have been seeking each other out to plan in-person meetups and exchange fun content via the system’s built-in StreetPass™ feature. To make it even easier for fans to connect and come together, Nintendo of America has created a Meetup Everywhere community that people can use to organize their own local StreetPass-themed meetups and social gatherings*. To mark the launch of this community, Nintendo 3DS users everywhere are encouraged to hold StreetPass meetups on Saturday, June 25, which has been designated Nintendo 3DS StreetPass Day.
Meetup Everywhere is a simple-to-use online platform that enables an organization’s fans or followers to coordinate local, real-life meetups based on shared interests. Nintendo 3DS users who are interested in sharing content with others via StreetPass are invited to visit http://www.meetup.com/nintendo3ds to find events in their area or to plan their own StreetPass meetups. Users are also encouraged to use the “#streetpass” hashtag within social media to promote Nintendo 3DS StreetPass events throughout the year and attract even more participants.
Rumor: Zelda 25th anniversary news set for E3

During Satoru Iwata’s GDC speech back in March, Nintendo’s president teased news regarding Zelda’s 25th anniversary. Unfortunately, Iwata only said that Shigeru Miyamoto has been working on a plan to allow all lovers of the franchise to celebrate together.
That was quite a mysterious statement, and fans have been left wondering what it could mean. Thankfully they won’t have to wait much longer to find out what Nintendo has up their sleeves.
Famitsu held a live-stream of a Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D preview with Eiji Aonuma earlier today. Although most of the time was spent previewing the upcoming 3DS title, Aonuma apparently said that anniversary plans for Zelda will be shared at E3. I missed most of the event and I don’t speak Japanese, so I can’t confirm the rumor. But it would most definitely make sense to feature the news at E3, especially if it’s a new game.
