GameCube game Chibi-Robo lands on Nintendo Switch 2 next week

The next GameCube game on Nintendo Switch 2 has now been confirmed, as Chibi-Robo is coming to Nintendo Classics in just a few days. The title launches on August 21, 2025.
Chibi-Robo, which first launched in 2005 (2006 in the west), will be available to Nintendo Switch Online members. Note that you’ll need to be subscribed to the Expansion Pack tier.

Tower defense party game Hack ‘n’ Stack heading to Nintendo Switch

Dodo Tako, along with Triple Boris, today unveiled Hack ‘n’ Stack for Nintendo Switch. The game is targeting a Q2 2026 debut.
The physics-powered party brawler smashes tower defense into slapstick chaos. Up to four players can build, break, and weaponize everything – including each other.

Above Snakes receives Nintendo Switch release date, new trailer

RedDeerGames and Square Glade Games today provided the release date for Above Snakes. On Nintendo Switch, it will be available on September 4, 2025.
We previously reported on the game, which is an isometric world builder. It was announced last month, but no launch window was given at the time.

Dono’s Tale will be appearing on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, Super Item Studios has confirmed. Currently there’s no word on launch timing.
Dono’s Tale, a platformer starring a dinosaur that pays homage to games from the 16 and 32-bit eras, was funded on Kicsktarter a little while back. Well over $10,000 was raised and the funding goal was raised within the campaign’s first 72 hours.

Nintendo announces partnership with Interstate Scholastic Esports Alliance

Competitive gaming is bigger than ever these days, and Nintendo of America has now announced a partnership with the Interstate Scholastic Esports Alliance (ISEA) “to make gaming competitions more social, accessible, and rewarding.”
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Splatoon 3 will begin to be used for school-organized tournaments and events for grades 4 through 12 starting this fall. The initiative is expected to reach over 80,000 elementary, middle, and high school students across 23 states. Nintendo of America will be giving “a large quantity” of Nintendo Switch Online memberships and digital game download codes at no cost.
Dadish dev reveals Dunkadillo for Nintendo Switch

Dunkadillo is in the works for Nintendo Switch, Thomas K. Young revealed today. As of now there’s no word on launch timing.
Dunkadillo is a side-scrolling platformer starring an armadillo who can transform into a basketball. Young previously made the Dadish games and Be Brave Barb.

Zoe Begone secures Nintendo Switch release date, new trailer

Courtesy of PM Studios and Retchy, we now have a release date for Zoe Begone. The game will be out for Nintendo Switch on September 17, 2025.
Zoe Begone was announced just over a year ago. The hand-drawn bullet hell arcade game was originally planned for the end of last year, but was quietly delayed.

Katanaut planned for Nintendo Switch

Voidmaw has announced that it’s planning Katanaut for all consoles, which should include Nintendo Switch. It’s unclear when the game will be releasing, but we’ll be seeing it on Nintendo’s system sometime after the PC launch.
Katanaut is an action roguelite that takes inspiration from Metroidvania titles and 2D action platformers. Players will battle through hordes of enemies and uncover the secrets of what went wrong on a massive space station.
