Cyberpunk action-platformer Anomaly Agent heading to Switch

Phew Phew Games will soon be bringing its new title Anomaly Agent to Switch. It’s on track for release on January 25, 2024, the studio has confirmed.
Anomaly Agent, a cyberpunk action-platformer, promises “fluid combat, a time-bending story, quirky characters and a catchy synthwave soundtrack”. The game will have players punching or shooting mobs of enemies and impacting the story with the choices they make as they attempt to save the world by stopping anomalies.

Switch sales surpass three million in Spain

Switch has reached a new sales milestone in Spain, as it’s now confirmed that the console has surpassed over three million units in the country.
We previously reported that Nintendo’s system sold over two million units in October 2021. It took about two years to add another million onto the total. The one million mark was reached by the end of 2019.

Xuan Yuan Sword 7 seeing physical release on Switch

Xuan Yuan Sword 7, which was announced for Switch last year, has now been confirmed for physical release on the platform.
Copies will be sold through Play-Asia. Alongside a standard version, a limited edition is planned. The latter includes the full experience on a 16GB Switch cartridge, manual, soundtrack CD, art book, and numbered certificate in a collector’s box.

Super Mario Run gets 3.1.0 update with Super Mario Bros. Wonder event

Super Mario Run hasn’t seen much in the way of new content in recent years, but believe it or not, a new version 3.1.0 update went live today that adds a brand new Super Mario Bros. Wonder event.
When performing certain actions in Toad Rally – or Friendly Runs – like stomping enemies or vaulting, the meter will fill up as usual. Once full, the Wonder Flower will appear – and you’ll even hear music from the Switch game. Coins in the stage will then turn into Gold Goombas, who can be defeated by touching them.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet – The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero epilogue announced

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet aren’t quite finished with The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero DLC, as a new epilogue has just been announced. It will launch on January 11, 2024.
A brief trailer was posted online for the epilogue today. Arven, Penny, and Nemona will be featured. In order to access it, players will need to have completed a certain postgame event in the main game as well as the main stories of the original two DLC episodes.

OU update adds Zarry’s Story and more

A new update released today for OU which adds the brand new Zarry’s Story.
The story naturally stars Zarry and it can be accessed once players beat the main experience. Note that this update also includes an encyclopedia of sorts and new language support.

Arcade Archives Mystic Warriors releasing on Switch this week

Mystic Warriors is the latest Arcade Archives games for Switch, with Hamster announcing it for worldwide release this week. It will be available on December 21, 2023.
Mystic Warriors was originally made by Konami. It mainly released in 1993, though some Japanese arcades may have received it at the end of 1992.

F-Zero 99 update out now (version 1.1.5), patch notes

F-Zero 99 just got a new version 1.1.5 update, which includes a couple of new elements for players.
First up is the Frozen Knight League, which will be available for a limited time and features falling snow. Nintendo has also included unlockable Boost colors for the event to be used for machine customization as well as backdrops, badges and borders to be used for Pilot Card customization.

November 13: Bandai Namco has officially established Studio 2 and Studio S for commissioned projects, and the news actually has significant relevance when it comes to Nintendo.
Thus far these teams have worked on games that were all been made in partnership with the Big N. The list includes Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, Mario Sports Superstars, Mario Kart Tour, ARMS, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
