SpiritSphere DX will have a vertical mode

Fabraz is publishing SpiritSphere DX on Switch this spring. A mix of tennis and “magical beat down”, the new DX version will ship with new content and features.
One new element being added is a vertical mode. We’ve seen this with a few Switch games in the past. If enabled, you can hold the Switch vertically and use the screen space in a different way.
Fabraz took to Twitter today and showed what the mode looks like:
One of the new features we're working on for SpiritSphere DX is a vertical mode! Takes full advantage of the screen and makes for an epic face-off with friends!#NintendoSwitch #indiegame #indiegames pic.twitter.com/V2HN0E4Ql5

Morphies Law was announced for Switch during a Nindies Showcase presentation many months ago. Cosmoscope hoped to have it ready sometime this winter, but the shooter is experiencing a delay.
If all goes well, Morphies Law will now be launching this spring. However, it may end up slipping to the summer. The extra time will be used “to give you the best possible version of this crazy playground we’re building.”
For those who haven’t heard of Morphies Law previously, check out the overview and trailer below.

Kirby isn’t the only series HAL Laboratory is known for. Over the past few years, the company has created a series of BoxBoy! games. Even its main character Qbby received an amiibo – well, in Japan at least.
As a nod to its past works, Kirby Star Allies has a special cameo. Those with preview access have discovered that Qbby can be found in the game.
Thanks to Álvaro for the tip.

A few days ago, Valve News Network hosted a live stream with Grey Newell, the son of Valve boss Gabe Newell. Grey ended up sharing an interesting tidbit about Nintendo during the event.
Apparently, many years ago, Valve’s founder visited Japan and met with Nintendo about a joint venture “that ended up not happening.” Grey also said he played Super Mario Galaxy with Shigeru Miyamoto.
Rumor: Zelda: Twilight Princess on China’s NVIDIA Shield uses emulation; new footage

Nintendo teamed up with NVIDIA to bring GameCube and Wii titles to the NVIDIA Shield in China. Folks are now getting their hands on the device, and an interesting discovery appears to have been made.
Speedrunner Pheenoh is one such person with access to the new version of the NVIDIA Shield. He came across some changes after streaming Zelda: Twilight Princess for over eight hours, such as how Epona and Link cannot be renamed at the start of a new game. It also loads very fast – apparently even quicker than Twilight Princess HD on Wii U.
