Arcade racer Phantom Spark announced for Switch

Thunderful, Coatsink, and Ghosts today announced Phantom Spark, a new arcade racer for Switch. A release window has not yet been announced.
Phantom Spark features weaving, rollercoaster-like levels with a full single-player campaign and the option to compete via local split-screen and online asynchronous multiplayer. More details are included in the following overview:

AK-xolotl release date set for September, new trailer

AK-xolotl has just received a final release date. Today, publisher Playstack and developer 2Awesome Studio confirmed its Switch launch for September 14, 2023.
AK-xolotl, a top-down roguelite shooter, was first announced in March 2022. Read more about the game below.

Today, Thunderful and internal development studio The Station announced a final release date for SteamWorld Build. On Switch, it’ll be out on December 1, 2023.
SteamWorld Build originally announced in January. Thunderful confirmed a general 2023 launch window at the time.

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is back with another trailer, this time for Amadeus the Wizard. The video debuted today at Gamescom 2023.

Denuvo now registered as authorized Switch middleware

Denuvo, which is associated with security for video games, is now offering its protection technologies through the Nintendo Developer Portal (NDP) as authorized Switch middleware.
This is apparently the first security partner on the portal, and developers can access the official Nintendo Switch Emulator Protection now. Denovo says it’s “a revolutionary technology to protect games launching on Nintendo Switch from piracy.”
Bosconian is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Switch

Hamster has announced Bosconian as the latest Arcade Archives game on Switch. A worldwide release is planned for August 24, 2023.
Bosconian, a multidirectional shooter from Namco, first appeared in 1981. The game has players taking control of a patrol plane while they attempt to defeat the aliens to save Earth. By destroying enemy missiles and bases, the points score will continue to increase.
Arcade Archives Bosconian will cost $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29 on the Switch eShop.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom just got a new update with Nintendo making version 1.2.1 now available.
The patch notes indicate that a few key issues have been addressed. These include screen flickering on the map, obtaining the contents of treasure chests attached to Flux Constructs, and an event trigger for collecting all Bubbul Gems. Other unspecified issues have been addressed as well, Nintendo says.
