Cross-progression support is on the way to Apex Legends, EA and Respawn Entertainment confirmed today. It will be rolling out starting with Apex Legends: Ignite and “players will be phased in over a period of time in order to ensure stability for this anticipated feature.”

An in-game prompt will appear that lets players initiate the migration to bring together content and progression. Note that cross-progression data will be associated with an EA account. Those who do not log in during the migration period will have their account migrated automatically at a later date.

Doug Bowser new Mario voice

Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser has briefly commented on the secrecy surrounding new Mario voice actor.

The company announced in August that Charles Martinet, who held the role for many years, would be moving on. However, Nintendo left fans guessing as to who would be taking over the part. It wasn’t until just a few days before the release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder came out that we learned Kevin Afghani was given the role – and that came from his own personal social media account.

Berzerk: Recharged

Original (10/5): Yet another addition to Atari’s “Recharged” line is heading to Switch with the just-announced Berzerk: Recharged. It should be out by the end of 2023.

Berzerk was originally released during the 80’s and was a top-down multidirectional shooter in which players fought hordes of armed robots through an endless, electrified maze. Evil Otto, who manifests as a bouncing smiley face, mercilessly hunts down players in the game. Berzerk: Recharged now updates the experience with refreshed graphics, twin-stick controls, and a new soundtrack by Megan McDuffee.

Star Ocean The Second Story R Switch physical download

Star Ocean: The Second Story R appears to be yet another game on Switch with a physical release that requires a download.

Reddit user Casting_Quarters managed to find the RPG at Walmart even though it won’t be out for another week. At the bottom of the boxart, that’s where the dreaded “download required” label can be found. The back mentions that players need to download at least 3GB, but the final size is apparently 4.1GB.
