Sven: Completely Screwed

Korion Interactive has announced that Sven: Completely Screwed will debut on Switch this week. It will launch on August 10, 2023.

For those that are unaware, the Sven series has actually been around for a couple of decades. Now after more than 16 years, the next entry is just a couple of days away. The developer say they’ve made a lot of improvements to make the game look and feel modern. It’s officially described as “a reboot with a makeover”.

Xtreme Sports Switch release date

Original (6/28): Three years after it was originally announced, the Switch version of Xtreme Sports has secured a release date. WayForward just announced that it’s scheduled for August 10, 2023.

Xtreme Sports originally debuted on the Game Boy Color. The action-sports-RPG features five events including surfing, skyboarding, and street luge.

Red Dead Redemption price

Take-Two Interactive has now commented directly on the price of the just-announced Switch version of Red Dead Redemption.

The game will cost $50 physically and digitally, which some people aren’t happy about. While it received a good amount of acclaim back in the day, when the title comes to Switch (and PS4), it’ll be more straightforward compared to the usual remasters and remakes we’ve been seeing these days. On top of that, multiplayer won’t be included.


Bomb Rush Cyberfunk

Nintendo has updated the Japanese release schedule on its platforms for the week of August 17, 2023. Here’s a look at the upcoming digital download schedule:


A new buy 1, get 1 free sale for August 2023 is now live at GameStop, and a number of first-party and third-party Switch games are included.

From titles Nintendo has published, highlights include Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, Metroid Dread, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Third-party offerings include Hades, Persona 5 Strikers, and No More Heroes 3.

Xenoblade 3 camping coasters My Nintendo

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has been around for over a year, but a new physical reward has just been added to My Nintendo in North America in the form of camping coasters.

The set includes four in total. They come with artwork of characters Noah, Mio, Eunie, Taion, Lanz, Sena, Riku and Manana from the game. Additionally, two sheets of character stickers are included.

Dipplin, Archaludon, Raging Bolt, Iron Crown

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet have revealed a new set of Pokemon for their upcoming DLC, with Dipplinm, Archaludon, Raging Bolt, and Iron Crown joining the fray.

Dipplin is the evolution of Applin that will appear in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask. Meanwhile, Archaludon is the evolution of Duraludon found in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk. Read more about both below.

Shadow of the Ninja Reborn

ININ Games, in partnership with Natsume Atari and Tengo Project, announced that Shadow of the Ninja: Reborn will be receiving an English release in the west. It will launch in Q1 2024.

Shadow of the Ninja: Reborn was recently announced as Kage Shadow of the Ninja in Japan. This is a remake of the original NES game.

Detective Pikachu Returns Bolt Brilliance

As part of today’s Pokemon Presents presentation, a new trailer has dropped for Detective Pikachu Returns. This follows the previous Nintendo Direct reveal and upcoming launch later in the year.

Pokemon Scarlet Violet Teal Mask release date

During today’s Pokemon Presents event, a release date was provided for the first part of the Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet DLC, The Teal Mask. Players can pick it up on September 13, 2023.

Remember that there’s also a second part of the DLC to come. The Indigo Disk is slated for this winter.
