Nintendo is pulling out from the Brazilian gaming market, according to a report from UOL Games. The company will not distribute any additional games, consoles, or handhelds in the country going forward.
Bill van Zyll, director for Nintendo of America’s Latin America operations, said there are various challenges in the way such as taxes.
It’s currently unclear what will happen with the Brazilian 3DS eShop as well as those who purchased games on the store.
This Marth amiibo apparently comes with an extra head

Okay, I’m sorry. I just had to post this. It’s part hilarious, part stupid. But here you go! It’s a Marth amiibo… with an extra head. The sheer strangeness of it all is one reason why I’m marking this as a rumor.
If you want this particular amiibo, you’ll need to fork over $1,500. I can’t recommend anyone doing that. That being said, I wouldn’t be entirely surprised to see it sell!

Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 3 Comments
Yuji Horii, the creator of Dragon Quest, shared a message on the official Dragon Quest X website to ring in 2015. Horii touched on what’s planned for the franchise in the near and far future as Dragon Quest’s 30th anniversary approaches.
The message in full states:
Happy New Year, everyone. There is just one year to go until the 30th anniversary of Dragon Quest.
In February, we will release Dragon Quest Heroes, and in March, Theatrhythm Dragon Quest. Additionally, while still to be announced, there are many projects in planning as we head towards the 30th anniversary. And then there’s the release of Dragon Quest X Version 3.0 in the spring. Together alongside our fans and development staff, I hope we keep making the series even bigger and better!
Life is a role-playing game. Here’s to many more years to come of Dragon Quest!
Given that Dragon Quest’s 30th anniversary is next year, that could be when we hear about the series’ next core entry – Dragon Quest XI.

Miyamoto says a new F-Zero might be possible if Nintendo finds a new and suitable controller interface
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 53 Comments
Nintendo doesn’t appear to be working on a new F-Zero game at present, though Shigeru Miyamoto hasn’t ruled out a return to the franchise in the future.
During an interview with Smosh, Miyamoto mentioned that a new entry could be possible “if we create a new type of controller interface and we find that controller interface is particularly suited for F-Zero”.
Here are Miyamoto’s words in full:
We see a lot of other designers who are kind of making more traditional racing-style games, so we try to focus on something that feels a little bit more gamey. So maybe if we create a new type of controller interface and we find that controller interface is particularly suited for F-Zero, then maybe we’ll do something again with it in the future.

Little Mac amiibo’s stock status in question
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 2 Comments
Has the Little Mac amiibo already been discontinued at retailers? We’re not ready to jump the gun and say what’s going on either way, but there may be a reason to be somewhat concerned.
GameStop pulled its Little Mac amiibo listing on December 31. All other figures can still be located on the website. GeekParty reached out to GameStop and was told the following about the situation:
How about another retailer? Like Toys “R” Us, perhaps. When you search for the figure on Toys “R” Us’ website, Little Mac is nowhere to be found. He also seems to be appearing in the retailer’s systems as no longer active.
Again, we can’t say for sure what’s going on with Little Mac at the moment. If you happen to see him online or in-store, you should probably snag him just to be safe!
Thanks to Ryan R for the tip.
