Toki Tori 2 won’t be making its intended December 20 release date. Developer Two Tribes wrote on its website that it believes it “would do you a disservice to you if we release it in its current form.”

The developer is currently working on Toki Tori 2’s “weak spots, in all categories ranging from gameplay to graphics to technology.”

A final release date hasn’t been set, but Two Tribes hopes to have its first Wii U eShop game ready for early 2013.

After attempting to register his 3DS XL, NeoGAF member “thewesker” was told by Club Nintendo that he would not be provided with a survey or coins. Apparently the first eight systems you register are eligible… and then you’re out of luck.

The strange thing is, other members have indeed been able to successfully register and earn coins for more than eight products. Could this be a new regulation? Maybe the situation is related to the recent Club Nintendo issues?

EnjoyUp Games and Francisco Téllez de Meneses are teaming up for a new platformer/RPG title “Unepic” for Wii U (presumably the eShop) and PC.

The entire adventure takes place in a huge medieval castle. Unepic makes use of an “eighty’s style” but is “completed with the most actual features.”

EnjoyUp sent over the following story description:

The hero is called Daniel, a normal guy from today: great videogame player, big lover of sci-fi movies, novice player of role games, pot-head and overall, a bit horny due to a misterious lack of success with girls. In the middle of a role game he is teleported to a castle and he thinks that he is having a massive hallucination due to any drug that their friends may poor in his beer while playing. So he decides to run his own adventure until the effect of the drug lasts.

In the castle, he will be possessed by a shadow, however this shadow cannot control him (being able only talk). The only way of the shadow to escape from the Hero’s body is by the death of the Hero, so the shadow will lie all the time giving false clues always looking for the Daniel’s death.

In the castle he will visit an oracle and find out what’s the goal of the story: to kill Harnakon, the master of the castle, and free Pure-Spirits. This story sounds typical for a role game, but during the adventure Daniel will discover that everything is not what it seems.

Unepic contains the following features, according to EnjoyUp:

In Japan, Level-5 registered a trademark for something called “Spaceship Damrey”.

This is just speculation at this point, but could it be another mini-game inclusion in Guild02? Three titles have been confirmed for the collection thus far: Insect Tank, Alone, and Monsters Appear on Friday.

Spaceship Damrey could very well be the final one…

SEGA has filed a lawsuit against Level-5 for its Inazuma Eleven soccer games. Specifically, SEGA isn’t pleased with games’ functionality in which players can move character with their finger or touch pen.

It’s possible that the company’s Football Manager franchise has come in to play. SEGA may feel that Level-5’s series is in conflict with its own soccer management simulations. Officially though, SEGA hasn’t confirmed that this is the case.

Kotaku reports that opening arguments were heard on December 7. SEGA is looking for ¥900 million (US$11 mil) in damages, and is looking for the sale of all eight Inazuma Eleven games to be stopped.

Speaking about the lawsuit, Level-5 said:

“We are preparing our rebuttal and do not have any comments to make at this time.”
